I really started to like this nice girl, she carried around a holster of happiness. It's so wrong that this almost looks like communion... but this jello was so much yummier than those wafers!! (ok, this will likely be the last of the birthday celebration shots, tomorrow I will return to my regularly scheduled programming of "artistic" landscapes and self portraits ;-)
Photographer uncertain. This might be Brooklyn, I have to check; my GM was born in Bensonhurst but I don't know how long they were in Brooklyn.
Gathered around the Altar in the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the National Shrine, the saints on the mosaic-covered walls and the people below make visible the Communion of Saints; we're gathered into the One Body of Christ through the Holy Eucharist.
One of two First Communion cakes for this weekend. Iced in buttercream with a chocolate cross. This is for a boy, so I didn't want it to be too froo froo :)
"God had chosen to reveal himself by being born into a human family and the human family thus became an icon of God! God is the Trinity, he is a communion of love; so is the family despite all the differences that exist between the Mystery of God and his human creature, an expression that reflects the unfathomable Mystery of God as Love. In marriage the man and the woman, created in God's image, become "one flesh" (Gen 2: 24), that is a communion of love that generates new life. The human family, in a certain sense, is an icon of the Trinity because of its interpersonal love and the fruitfulness of this love"
– Pope Benedict XVI.
This painting of the Holy Family mirroring the Holy Trinity is in the Oratory of St Philip Neri in Bologna.
My sermon for the feast of the Holy Family can be read here.
An attempt to set forth the reasons why Christians should participate in taking Communion (or the Eucharist, or the Lord's Supper). Perhaps I've left something out.
Thanks for looking.

'Pale Communion'
I've had this concept in my head for awhile now, I just haven't acted on it, as in my head it was quite simple to arrange. However, a perfect opportunity came about in the form of a workshop I put together, and as part of shoots I like to organize I figured this would be a good time to do it.
This particular shot was organized by one of the guys who came to the workshop, I was very pleased with it.
Models from left to right - Courtney Corcoran, Druantia Astara, Samantha Saturnine, Meg Chris Mcg, and Angela C
Specialists - Renata Ruch and Jesse Davidson
Wait till you see what the guys who shot at this event came up with.

"None of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself."489 "If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it."490 "Charity does not insist on its own way."491 In this solidarity with all men, living or dead, which is founded on the communion of saints, the least of our acts done in charity redounds to the profit of all. Every sin harms this communion.
