The hermitage of the Virgen del Mar is a building located on the island of the Virgen del Mar, in San Román de la Llanilla, municipality of Santander (Cantabria, Spain). It is dedicated to the patron saint of Santander, Virgen del Mar. Its location next to the sea has led to its partial demolition during storms on several occasions. Perhaps its greatest destruction was in the late seventeenth century.

A dilapidated pick-up has a long standing appointment for shelter with an equally old farm building that provides false comfort. Those of us who are old often find paradoxical comfort in peers that are no longer strong either.
Even though this was not my home, I loved it here. Some days I long for the comfort of no windows, a fresh breeze, and pure abandonment.
This is an oldie ..
So, I feel much more comfortable shooting nature, being slow and focused than shooting city with its rush and hassle. Although, I would like to practice a little more photography of the city to feel its pace. Someday...
ODC-Calm Or Comfort
There are a few places I really love in my home, this is one of them. It's the corner in the master bedroom. At this time of year the sun is low in the sky and it comes streaming in, which I find most comforting on a chilly day!

Some days you need to create your own sunshine. For me, its comfort food. No matter how you feel, sitting down and making the food you love most; will always cheer you up.
I enjoyed setting up this kitchen display. Unkindness has made a very low prim, lovely kitchen set that comes in White or Blue. Everything is easily modifiable and you can fit any of the pieces into any space in Second Life.
With any kitchen set you need the best foods and kitchen clutter to complete the whole look. With kitchen things from Mudhoney and the best foods from ionic, my day is now complete. ♥

At a recent wedding, the daughter of one friend served as the flower girl, and the son of another friend served as the ring bearer. Here, the Flower Girl seems to be comforting the ring bearer who was perhaps just a little nervous in his duties!!

Chillin on the porch, keeping guard on her yard. Being gone this weekend, Kona spent the weekend at her favorite K-9 "camp". What she doesn't know, is that they are not letting her come back. She is a VERY high energy dog.....and I guess she gets over stimulated while with all the other dogs. It is a cage free environment. She has gone there for 3 years....makes me sad. I'm glad she doesn't know.
This morning when I returned from my workout I discovered my dog had soiled herself in her bed and was still lying in it. I gave her a bath and as she shivered I could feel every bone in her tired body as I lathered and washed her fur. After I cleaned everything up I laid her on a thick blanket and let her warm up by the fireplace which has been one of her favorite things ever. She is struggling today and I can't help think it the tumble down the stairs that is the cause. Sorry to bring you down, it's just where I am today.
