My head can be a treacherous place, full of sharp edges
and dark corners, but all I have to do to find comfort is remind myself
I have your love,
and smile.
Some days you need to create your own sunshine. For me, its comfort food. No matter how you feel, sitting down and making the food you love most; will always cheer you up.
I enjoyed setting up this kitchen display. Unkindness has made a very low prim, lovely kitchen set that comes in White or Blue. Everything is easily modifiable and you can fit any of the pieces into any space in Second Life.
With any kitchen set you need the best foods and kitchen clutter to complete the whole look. With kitchen things from Mudhoney and the best foods from ionic, my day is now complete. ♥

At a recent wedding, the daughter of one friend served as the flower girl, and the son of another friend served as the ring bearer. Here, the Flower Girl seems to be comforting the ring bearer who was perhaps just a little nervous in his duties!!

This morning when I returned from my workout I discovered my dog had soiled herself in her bed and was still lying in it. I gave her a bath and as she shivered I could feel every bone in her tired body as I lathered and washed her fur. After I cleaned everything up I laid her on a thick blanket and let her warm up by the fireplace which has been one of her favorite things ever. She is struggling today and I can't help think it the tumble down the stairs that is the cause. Sorry to bring you down, it's just where I am today.

There is such comfort in true intimacy where you rest comfortably within each other in all situations.

RAFFINATO COMFORT
Finalmente siamo arrivati a destinazione,
Splashhhh!!! ..................................

In my 1940s dollhouse - stalled in reno since July. Needs trim and doors on the inside. Needs more work on the outside.
As a teenager in the 1960s I suffered from low self-esteem and found myself often in trouble at school as I overcompensated for it. After a tension-filled day at school I often relaxed when I got off the bus and walked the long lane of our farm home and realized anew that in this location I was accepted simply because I was part of our family who lived here. Many young people do not have this privilege and spend a lifetime looking for that same acceptance.
A toilet (or comfort station ;-)) in the middle of the bush with a nice view…I discovered it at Heja Lodge whilst actually looking for a landscape photo.

Funny backstory is that I got my "FlickrFriday" themes mixed up--I was so excited about capturing this photo--come to find out "comfort" was LAST week's theme!
spotted along Hempstead Turnpike

This is one of the many "comfort stations" (or "outhouse's") that are located along the highways and backroads of Alaska. It is currently buried in snow - but I'm sure our highway department will have all of them dug out by the time the first tourist arrives. Meanwhile - rugged Alaskan's must dart off into the forest should mother nature call - and that is just a wee bit hard to do when the snow is up to your knee's, and the bears are waking up.
I believe it is in our genetic code to fear the unknown. After all, our ancestors feared imminent danger, such as fear from predators which protected them from physical danger. However, we are also curious beings, and who doesn’t wish to strive and thrive? To do so, it is sometimes necessary to push oneself out of our comfort zone. Fear could paralyse, but it also shows what you have to face. Beyond that, there is the potential each and every one should achieve, and where life really begins.
For some people, the urge for a challenge and pushing themselves out of the their comfort zone, is natural. Indeed, one of the main things that separate people who grow from challenges from those who become victims of their circumstances, is the formers’ ability to approach the edge without falling off it.
I was told once that self-doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will. I believe it does.
This image wasn’t a challenge, but the climbing I have done before, certainly was.
I have been sick for the past week and started to feel better today, so I went out with my camera. This scene from Fox River proved to be a perfect healer for my ailing body and soul.
