A simple shot of my back garden, west side. The roses are pretty amazing this year. This one is climbing the maple tree.

A beautiful moonlight autumn night in the Yosemite valley makes for a perfect time to get some of that incredible rock climbing done. How many climbers can you spot on El Capitan?

Three vintage EMD's (plus one dead in tow) power Columbia Basin's climb up the hill from Connell, wrapping around this tight S-curve just before the grade begins to level out. These SD9's (and one SD19) aren't the only relics in the photo, as the remnant of a lone telegraph pole can be seen on the right. The terrain in this part of Washington felt almost alien compared to the western half of the state where we spent most of our trip.

After Uluru, we flew to Brisbane as an overnight stopover to the Whitsunday Islands. We only had an afternoon there so went for a walk along the Brisbane River… it’s long, very long! There are plenty of pubs and restaurants along the way so we stopped off at Felons Brewing Co just beyond the Story Bridge to watch the world go by.
I’d planned to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge this trip, but apparently you can climb this one as well.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. I just had to play with the angle of the shot after getting this shot on this hill in the city. Hoping you all have a wonderful weekend of photography, enjoy!
Look around your room you find the paint is peelin'
Your reflective skin is fallin' off your bones
Well, I must admit I know just how you're feelin'
We must grab each others collar, we must rise out of the water
And you know as well as I do it's no fun to die alone
After all that I've been through, you're the only one that matters
You never left me in the dark here on my own
Feel the water rising. Let me be your ladder
I promise you'll be dry and never be alone

BNSF Z-WSPLAC7-13L has slowed down to a crawl as it battles the uphill climb westward through Siberia, CA. In the middle of the consist is a pair of GECX Tier 4 demonstrator units.
CSX empty coal train E759 knocks down a Clinchfield intermediate signal as it climbs up the grade through Ashford. The Clinchfield loops are just a few miles ahead, and it'll be darkness by the time they reach the summit of the Blue Ridge.
FCAB engines 2403, 2406 (both EMD GT22CU-3, rebuilt GR12s) and 2008 (EMD/Clyde GL26C-2) with a "bucket train" (empty in this case; used to transport ore concentrates from Bolivia) will reach Ascotan summit in a few minutes. In the background you can see the massive 6145 m high volcano "San Pedro", covered by a rather unusual amount of snow. The train is on its way to Ollagüe, the border station to Bolivia.
Climbing in the higher elevations in Olympic Park. There were an abundance of wildflowers throughout the park. The passing clouds were a nice touch.
