British Rail Type 5 Class 56 diesel locomotive 56311 stabled at York Station (UK).
56311 was built in 1979/1980 is owned and operated by freight operator 'Devon and Cornwall Railways' (DCR).

At that time classed as a dmu (2 x 2,250 hp BR (Crewe) Bo-Bo Power Cars + 7 coaches), HST set No.254 032 (without number painted on front) in BR Inter City 125 Rail Blue & Grey livery, with PC (later loco Class "43") No.43 118 (later No.43 118) (later "Charles Wells", then "City of Kingston upon Hull") arriving at St. Pancras on a service from Sheffield (Midland), 08/84. First TransPennine Express class 185 "Desiro/Pennine" DMU 185123 stands at Cleethorpes with a terminating South Transpennine service, alongside Northern Rail class 153 "Super Sprinter" DMU 153358 with a Barton Line service to Barton-on-Humber and Northern Rail class 144 "Pacer" DMU 144006 with a (Saturdays only) service to Sheffield via Gainsbrough Central.

Class 117 Pressed Steel 3-car dmu No. 960 301 in BR green of Chiltern Railways in departmental use for water jetting. However, in fact the unit is made up of 3 former driving cars, with the centre car having had the cab removed. The 3 cars are Class 117/2 No.977 987 (ex-W51371), 117/2 No.97 992 (ex-W51375) and 117/1 No.977 988 (ex-W51413). At Aylesbury 3/08.
Often derided at the time of its launch as being nothing more than a Mercedes van with windows, the V-Class nonetheless filled a niche in their line up if never a particular popular one.
Welly have produced and indeed still make a small scale version seen here in Victor Plus livery. A typically well cast Welly with nice detailing. Mint and boxed.

Class 27, 27008 receives a rewiring, just visible through cab door, and Dual Braking, it is shocking after all this expense that they only lasted a further four years.
