321419 approaching Royston on a crew training run on 5 October 2010. The crew training trip was booked to run through most of September and October 2010 but only appeared at Royston a handful of times. This is 321419's only known visit to Royston in Silverlink livery, though it may have made another two days later. After taking this pic a quick cycle ride got me to the station for the other pics!

I'm not sure if it still stands, but Tony Hardacre & I befriended the last signalman in about 1983 and we used to go up there at 5.30 am on a summer morning to photograph the last of the mighty 'Deltic' Loco's thunder past double headed as the signalman recalled experiences of Dunquerke where he had become a decorated war hero.
That's Tony with his head out of the window taking a shot of the Class 47. He went on to be a proper photographer, heading up the Chronicle & Echos Photographic Department in Northampton and winning various Press awards.
Memories I'll never forget.
The African Network for Animal Welfare taught the group about the damage that snaring does to wildlife in Africa. People set snares and leave them along game trails, in hopes of catching animals either to poach and sell for their fur, or for food. Many animals are caught and die needlessly in the snares.
And then spliced together. The 2-EPB roofs were reused on the new inner coaches for conformity with the two outer coaches.
