British Rail Class 220 'Voyager' 4 car Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) 2200XX working the 1V42 06:10 (10:29 12L) Cross Country Trains Derby- Plymouth service train westbound at Totnes Station on the South Devon Main Line in Devon (UK) on June 25th 2018.
Note the lack of any obvious numbers to quickly identify this Class 220 unit for enthusiasts and railwaymen alike. Very irritating.
Also note the 'Dellner Coupling' at the front of the train which is a version of the Scharfenberg coupler that connects pneumatics and electronics at the same point of contact.
The energy absorption technology in a Dellner Coupling is designed to allow an accidental collision up to 9 mph with no structural damage and up to 22 mph with some carriage deformation, however up to this speed the train should remain upright and on the track.

British Rail Class 90 25kV electric locomotive 90009 at Norwich Station at the end of the Great Eastern Main Line in Norwich (UK).
90009 has previously been named 'Royal Show', 'The Economist' and most recently 'Diamond Jubilee' along with a full size Union Flag on the side but these have all been removed.
90009 was built at British Rail Crewe Works and entered service on September 7th 1988.

Class 90 90023 is pictured on the rear of the 11-40 to Kings Cross on Platform 4 at Newcastle Central on February 24th 1993.
British Rail Type 5 Class 56 Co-Co diesel locomotive 56094 as operated by Colas Rail on a Barnetby and return driver route learning movement with Class 70, 70806 in tow near Attenborough Station in the County of Nottinghamshire (UK).
56094 was built at Doncaster Works by British Rail Engineering Limited (BREL) and entered service on August 9th 1981.

The hybrid Class 73 Electro-Diesels have proved to be remarkably desirable assets with heritage railways and companies engaged in mainline infrrastructure work. I don't know whether Porterbrook Leasing have any on their books but here's 73106 carrying carrying the eye-catching livery that was briefly carried by Deltic 55016. The source image of 73106 (in a more restrained green livery) was taken at Goathland on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway in September 2011 (16-Sep-11).

School, I remice my schools days almost everyday, but then it makes me think of my father. It was a very old, run down, shady school and yet there were still people inside. I ran in with just one pistol. Popping in and out every classroom, cafetirea and science lab there was, screaming "Schools out kids!" whilst widly shooting my gun up in the air. Ofcourse I wasn't going to shoot any of the children, I'd leave that for Joker to do. Although some of the lads in there were quite the strong/rough type, if I ever needed a gang. Soon all the kids ran home to their mommy's. They are lucky in some ways, I killed some of the teachers, meaning school would be out for months!

General Motors powered Direct Rail Services 'bodysnatcher' Class 57 diesel locomotive, 57008 leads 57306 southbound at Chelmsford Station on The Great Eastern Main Line with a 2014 autumn season weekday 04:54 396L 3S60 Stowmarket DGL- Stowmarket DGL (Down Goods Loop) via Norwich Trowse, Shenfield, Southend Victoria, Shenfield, Colchester, Clacton on Sea and Ipswich RHTT (Rail Head Treatment Train) sandite spraying duties.
RHTT trains spray water and sandite jets at up to 20,000 psi for the cleaning and removal of autumnal fallen leaves from the rail head.
57008 entered service as Brush type 4 D1644 on December 23rd 1964.

I haven't attempted to replicate the prototype D0280 Falcon here, although that would be an interesting future project. I've simply applied the latter's original Lime Green and Chestnut Brown livery to a production Class 47, photographed at Embsay on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway in 2009.
It has been difficult to establish the precise colours, many of the published pictures suggesting a two-tone green (which I personally find more attractive). The single-engined Class 47 was a direct succesor to the twin-engined Falcon and it's just possible that the former's livery might have been applied to at least one of the latter, in the same way that livery experiments were undertaken on a handful of Class 52 Westerns (14-Sep-11).

Illuminated tail sign brings up the rear of VIA Rail’s flagship train “The Canadian”. The car number 88706 identifies the car as Glacier Park and the 5 digit number format indicates this car has been re-built to Prestige class.
Class 501 EMU leaving Broad Street on a Richmond service. Closure of Broad Street was agreed 2 months after this picture was taken and the last platform closed in June 1986. The class 501s were withdrawn less than a month after this picture was taken to be replaced by Southern 2-EPBs on the North London line services and class 313s on the Euston-Watford services.

These first generation DMU's were introduced in 1956 and some remained in service up to 2003.

The Nickel-class corvette is the smallest ship in the Federal Navy. Casian Dockyards designed and built these ships when asked by the Naval Procurement Board for a cheap patrol airship. The Nickel is named so because they cost about as much to build. They are incredibly simple to build and maintain. They are very fast, but are restricted to calm-weather conditions because of their size.
All versions of the Nickel class have a deck gun mounted frontally, but some versions also have aerial torpedo launchers on the bow to give them a chance against heavier opponents. In recognition that the type is extremely vulnerable, the Nickel class has a high amount of Mechanicum gear inside, lowering crew requirements.
During the Blighting, they were very useful in evacuating refugees and military personnel. However, during the Great Scouring, they suffered horrendous losses, mostly to Feral Behemoths. The few that were left were barely reinforced by replacements when the Continental War started, leading to further losses. The enormous casualty figures lead to a change in policy as to the use of the Nickel-class corvettes. Subsequently, they were never to be used in a frontline combat role and wold instead be relegated to patrol and policing duties.
Although some were sold to foreign nations and the type has seen some success outside of the Federal Republic of Casia, it is not generally considered a very good ship. If the best one can say of a ship is how fast it can run away from trouble, maybe it shouldn't be looking for trouble in the first place.
The Casian Dockyards are just barely kept afloat by orders of this ship, but they need to quickly design a newer, better ship if they are to succeed in the cutthroat world of airship building.
