Paris she isn't, but a number of years ago local community leaders encouraged citizens to display white lights during the darkest nights of Anchorage. The tradition continues to this day, with many public and private areas illuminated by thousands of small, white lights. In recent years, other colors have begun appearing to enhance things a bit.
Paris Pantheon - Paris, France.
Not everything under construction is not worth taking a photograph of. The Paris Pantheon, although at its present state is hard to appreciate, still has an innate beauty that comes through no matter what.
The Pantheon was originally built as a church dedicated to St. Genevieve but now functions as a secular mausoleum containing the remains of distinguished French citizens. An early example of Neoclassicism, its facade was modeled from the Pantheon in Rome.

Avenue des Champs-Élysées - Paris, France.
The City of Lights lives up to its name even at Christmastime. The well-visited and often crowded no matter what time of the year Champs-Elysees celebrates the season with their annual illumination and a giant ferris wheel at Place de la Concorde.
