Just another abandoned building in Detroit. Will it ever end? It seems as if I see more and more of these on my travels through the city. Or maybe I am just looking at things differently.

this is the view we had every morning when we left our backpackers. i could get used to that.

 

i really like how the holga shots turned out. it's still among the lines of embracing the unexpected, but even with a lot of accidental bulb mode shots, i still like them. and there was only one shot where i forgot to take the lens cap off. not to mention the maybe ten others where i thought i'd forgotten to take it off. i think i shot seven or eight different kinds of holga film in sydney :)

The Peabody Media Center and the University of Georgia recognized six winners of this year’s Peabody-Facebook Futures of Media Awards for outstanding digital storytelling released in 2016. The awards ceremony took place May 19, 2017 at the Hotel Eventi in New York City.

 

The programs use 3-D modeling, virtual reality, interactive websites, and video games to address stories covering a range of issues, from torture in prison and childhood cancer to transgender dating and identity.

 

Winners included “Doctors and Sex Abuse” (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution), “Saydnaya” (Amnesty International and Forensic Architecture), “Phallaina” (Small Bang Studio, France Télévisions Nouvelles Ecritures, and Oikos Agency), “That Dragon, Cancer” (Numinous Games), “Pearl” (Google Spotlight Stories with Evil Eye Pictures), and “Her Story” (Speed of Joy).

 

The event was hosted by Campbell Brown.
