Had to change the title per KK's suggestion below Kris Kros).
Fourth of a few images from yesterday morning's photo walk across the Manhattan Bridge. Around 5:30am on a weekend is a perfect time to go since bridge traffic (vehicles and trains) are at a minimum.
This is view from the Manhattan Bridge looking towards the Brooklyn Bridge and downtown New York City (NYC) with the FDR Drive running underneath and the East River flowing to the left along the shoreline.

Happy Slider Sunday!
I was reluctant to post this image because I've never done any night photography to speak of...and I'm sure there are any number of things wrong with it! Perhaps had the shutter speed too slow? I missed the "blue hour" by minutes so I did a bit of sliding to bring out the night sky ...boat owners have begun to put up Christmas lights and the reflection in the water looks so pretty...
Well, heres' to firsts!! Have a great day everyone!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated =)
With wedding season past, I was able to get out and head around Chicago last night, got a few pics. Taken with the 14-24mm that I borrowed since my 17-35mm is in the shop, most likely will be getting this lens soon, love it.
Any of my Chicago peeps want to head out anytime soon let me know!
A few times a year the sky really comes together for a great, colorful sunset. It seems like I'm always busy or away from my camera for sunsets like this, but tonight everything worked out and I was able to get a few shots.
I guess the sunset is a decent trade off for the humidity we had today. I'm sure anyone from the mid-west would have considered it a dry day, but by San Diego standards it was unusually cloudy, humid and warm, a combo we're not used to in Southern California.
Tokyo is the capital city of Japan and one of its 47 prefectures. The Greater Tokyo Area is the most populous metropolitan area in the world. It is the seat of the Emperor of Japan and the Japanese government. Tokyo is in the Kantō region on the southeastern side of the main island Honshu and includes the Izu Islands and Ogasawara Islands. Formerly known as Edo, it has been the de facto seat of government since 1603 when Shōgun Tokugawa Ieyasu made the city his headquarters. It officially became the capital after Emperor Meiji moved his seat to the city from the old capital of Kyoto in 1868; at that time Edo was renamed Tokyo. Tokyo Metropolis was formed in 1943 from the merger of the former Tokyo Prefecture (東京府 Tōkyō-fu) and the city of Tokyo (東京市 Tōkyō-shi).
