Topic: Chaos
For today's challenge I had to look no further than my son's room. There was plenty of Chaos there. I did rather like the scene I found in his Lego Box .

First test model for my Chaos Trolls, based on O&G River Trolls of course. Some minor conversions as well.

Modern chaos theory all started with Lorenz's one paper:

There is debate concerning the origin of the "butterfly" metaphor; my guess is a Ray Bradbury short story from 1958.
I created the graph above in Statistica. It represents x, y, and z in the Lorenz weather equations. This pattern, called an attractor, is considered chaotic because while the overall shape remains the same no matter where you "start", the actual path you take is unpredictable, hence the term "sensitive dependence on initial conditions".
In chaos, small changes can make big differences.
The subject for Our Daily Challenge is Chaos. I didn't even have to get out of my chair for that one; just pulled my little camera out of my belt carrier, where it always resides, and pointed it at my desk. If this doesn't qualify as chaos, I don't know what does.
