Towards the end of summer 2015 Henry Orchards & Sons scrap metal merchants began cutting up some of the stored CDA wagons in St.Blazey Yard. Since the current china clay contract began two rakes of 38 have been required out of the 124 CDA wagons built. 26 were cut up in this purge leaving 10 stored in the yard as 'strategic reserve'. In the picture can be seen the cut frames of 375115, 375028, 375027, 375080, 375079.

What can I say? Some times I just have to Photoshop the hell out of something. Sometimes I just don't know when to stop.
The last one standing, 375112, is getting its hopper cut from the frame. Hopefully this was the last CDA to be cut up with the other remaining examples safe in preservation.
At the time of the photo this wagon was one of three long stored by the wagonshops at St.Blazey. They had been used as a source of spares and were earmarked for cutting having very recently gained a 'S' sprayed on the body support, presumable standing for 'scrap'. 66078 sits quietly in the background waiting for its Monday morning duty......
