The top of CDA 375047 sits on the concrete at St.Blazey having been cut and lifted from its frame. Part of 375027 is alongside.
This is one of the 14 CDA wagons converted from HAA coal hoppers in 1989 by RFS at Doncaster. These were all withdrawn from traffic during 2004 and all but 3 have been cut up. 375135/375137 remain in 'internal' use at Fowey as barrier/reach wagons, while 375125 sits in the cripple siding at the north end of the docks complex (in picture).
The final 3 CDA’s to be found ‘in the wild’ - the three ex-barrier wagons at Fowey - are shunted by 66152 down towards the transverser at Carne Point, ready to be cut up on site. This would be the last movement of this type of wagon outside of preservation.

375113 crosses St.Blazey Bridge for the last time, but it's first time by road. Preservation beckons at the Bodmin & Wenford railway with 7 others of its type.
Looks like someone has forgotten to close the roof as CDA 375107 arrives at Burngullow from Parkandillack.

China clay for export at Fowey Docks is currently moved by two rakes of 38 CDA wagons. All the remaining serviceable wagons are from the 124 built as CDAs at Doncaster in 1987. The prototype CDA was converted from a HAA coal wagon which is currently stored at St.Blazey. A further 14 CDAs were also converted from HAAs, most of these have been cut up, except 3 which are used at Fowey Docks as barrier/reach wagons.
