CB Weekend was a weekend Freya went out of town. I was left belted with a list of different things I had to wear each day dependant on what numbers came up in the lottery. This was a super sissy day.
The day before, I remember well because it was WARM and I had to wear woolen long underwear, jeans and a super thick sweater. It was a long hot day.

I have had to use an old pic (from a few weeks ago) as we have had here 10+ days of low cloud, mist, drizzle and rain with only 12 minutes of sunshine (recorded the other side of the city) in that ten day period. The only photo opportunity of a cloud in the previous week would be a grey featureless box!

I've been collecting for about 2 years, but not until this year was when I really started getting unique and cool stuff. A lot of this stuff was traded for. I've only made 1-2 CB orders. Anyhow, very pleased with Citizen Brick's quality and hope to get more!
The East End of the CB&Q ran from Aurora Tower at the Station (both long gone) through western Chicago Suburbs to Union Avenue Tower (long gone) at the west end of the wye south of Chicago Union Station. The East-End Way Freight worked most of that territory. I lived in Westmont, one of those suburbs in the 1950s and 60s and took many pictures of that Way freight. Here are three for starters.
