Pococks Beach
Pococks Beach (NT 164) is a 5.2 km long, northwest-facing, sightly curving beach that terminates in lee of West Alligator Head. The beach is fringed by mangroves and backed by a 100-200 m wide series of low foredunes. A vehicle track reaches the northern end of the beach where a small camping area and bore are located.

Pococks Beach (NT 164) ist ein 5,2 km langer, nach Nordwesten ausgerichteter, visuell geschwungener Strand, der im Windschatten von West Alligator Head endet. Der Strand ist von Mangroven gesäumt und von einer 100 bis 200 m breiten Reihe niedriger Vordünen gesäumt. Eine Fahrzeugspur erreicht das nördliche Ende des Strandes, wo sich ein kleiner Campingplatz und eine Bohrung befinden.

West Alligator Head
This is the only secluded coastal beach camping area in Kakadu.
Although suited to those with a real spirit of adventure who enjoy out of the way places it is mainly used by locals for fishing and is rarely visited by travellers.
The turn-off to West Alligator Head is 2 km from the entry station. An 80 km 4WD track through the savanna woodlands brings you to the campground.
There are basic facilities at Pococks Beach but no defined camping areas at Pococks Beach Middle Beach or Jungle Camp.
There is no boat ramp but boats can be launched from the beach. You should note the tidal flat extends out 1.2 km.
Driving on the beaches is prohibited.

Es gibt keine Bootsrampe, aber Boote können vom Strand aus gestartet werden. Sie sollten beachten, dass sich die Wattfläche über 1,2 km erstreckt.

Metra 211, the CB&Q heritage unit leads a outbound train past the historic CB&Q Main Street Depot in Downers Grove, IL. Perhaps had the CB&Q survived this would be the norm today.
CB Weekend was a weekend Freya went out of town. I was left belted with a list of different things I had to wear each day dependant on what numbers came up in the lottery. This was a super sissy day.
The day before, I remember well because it was WARM and I had to wear woolen long underwear, jeans and a super thick sweater. It was a long hot day.

Wie die bereits ausgestorbenen Unterarten des Bali- (Panthera tigris balica) und Java-Tigers (Panthera tigris sondaica) zählt der Sumatra-Tiger zu den sogenannten Inselunterarten.
