Casino Royal
163 foot long
$42 million dollar yacht
4 Levels
6 staterooms w/private bathrooms
Owner David McDonald
Retired Fresno CEO and business owner
Builder: CHRISTENSEN SHIPYARDS’ & John Staluppi's Millennium Super Yachts
The Casino Royal is his largest and most ornate.
It’s named the Casino Royal. The boat’s theme is based on the James Bond movie.
McDonald made his fortune on security cameras. Now retired, he enjoys lounging on the 3,000-square-foot deck, especially with his dog.
Inside, marble and mahogany decorate 7,000 square feet – no expense spared to create the ultimate yachting experience.
The sky lounge is the most-used room with a media area, dining room table and full bar.
In the formal salon, the big screen TV is elegantly concealed.
A 10-person crew lives on the boat full time.
Visitors stay in style in one of six guest bedrooms, including a VIP room with its own marble tub.
But the most luxurious accommodation, reserved for the owner, is the master suite. And no master bathroom would be complete without a seven-head shower.
TVs are concealed throughout the boat, which is kept in pristine condition, including an engine room that literally sparkles.
David lives just two hours from Stockton, and despite the city’s current financial struggles, he says this is one of the prettiest ports in the world.
“You can see the investment,” he says. “It’s a beautiful view.”
This is a private yacht so they won’t be giving any public tours, but it’s awfully fun to get an inside look at what $42 million floating on the water looks like.
The boat has not been back to Stockton for a while don’t know if it moved permanently or not
We spent the last weekend in April at Catalina Island on the annual UCSB scuba club trip. We've done this trip many times, but I still enjoy the dive park. This year it was heavily overrun with sargassum sea-weed, but I still managed to find a few things like this riny, spindly decorator crab.
Any species ID assistance would be appreciated!

Macro photography, on my computer desk, and yet it almost feels like it could have been a table in a casino somewhere. (A side note, the background, was blue sticky notes)

Mohegan Sun, in Uncasville, Connecticut, is the second largest casino in the United States with 364,000 sq ft (33,800 m2) of gaming space. The 55 ft high indoor waterfall is called "Taughannick Falls", represents a treacherous crossing during the tribe's migration

I seldom ride to Lummi Reservation as the roads from Bellingham are narrow, but from the north, Lummi isn't too bad. If one rides out to Slater Road, the shoulder is okay, on Slater (just be careful crossing a somewhat narrow bridge over Noocksack River). It isn't long and one can wait till traffic clears). Haxton Way bike trail heads south into Lummi lands from Slater and Haxton near where the Lummi Casino resides. It's a better way to access the Lummi Reservation by bike. The trail goes just two miles, or so, south to a round-a-bout where Haxton Way (itself) gets a better shoulder and heads on south to Lummi Ferry Dock. Going east from the round-a-bout, one gets to things like the Lummi Administrative Center and Northwest Indian College.
Another snapshot of Oil City.
Las Vegas Casino. Roughly six thousand miles east of Las Vegas. I doubt anyone has ever got them mixed up.
Well, maybe the piss heads who live next door in the bar.
