- The Casino - built in 1909 was inaugurated in August 1910; the designs were made by the French architect Daniel Renard (first design was made in 1903; in 1905, the architect Petre Antonescu made the second design - but the first one was chosen). The building has been the most representative in town for decades, a real symbol for Constanta; it was also the only representative of "art nouveau" style in Romania. On the top of the building, the decorations consists of old ships representations (ram heads and alga garlands); inside there are staircases and imposing banisters, covered columns and marble girdles on the walls. In 1985-1987 the building was restored, the furniture was entirely changed.
- Cazinoul din Constanța este o clădire istorică din municipiul Constanța. Este una dintre cele mai reprezentative simboluri ale orașului, fiind construit în anul 1909 și inaugurat în luna august a anului 1910. Se află pe faleza din Constanța, pe Bulevardul Regina Elisabeta.
- Cazinoul a reprezentat una dintre clădirile emblemă ale Constanței. În zona în care se află astăzi mai fusese, între 1880-1902, o construcție de lemn, o cazină, cum se numea – loc pentru spectacole de teatru, baluri, loc de recreare pentru turiști. Construcția unui edificiu cu funcții asemănătoare marilor cazinouri europene a început prin anul 1904. Inițial, planurile sunt întocmite de către arhitectul Petre Antonescu, care proiectează o clădire al cărei stil arhitectonic se inspira din tradițiile artei românești. După terminarea fundațiilor, însă, planurile sunt schimbate, Primăria încredințând modificarea lor unui arhitect de origine franceză(sau elvețiană), Daniel Renard - care renunță la principiile stilului românesc, în favoarea unui melanj de motive decorative ce încarcă și mai mult greoiul ansamblu. Construit (din 1908) în stil Art Nouveau sub influența cosmopolitană a cazinourilor epocii, edificiul constănțean este terminat în 1910, când este și inaugurat (în 1912 se fac ultimele retușuri).
- Cazinoul era o sală de paiantă, cu pereții interiori captușiti cu scânduri vopsite în ulei și ”servea de distracțiune vizitatorilor în sezonul băilor”, putând fi utilizat și pentru ”baluri de binefacere organizate de primărie”, fiind alcătuit dintr-o sală de dans, doua săli de lectură, pentru ziare și reviste, doua săli de jocuri și celebra ”terasă de pe malul mării”, împodobit cu drapele și destul de spațios a devenit locul de întalnire al tuturor. Lânga acest prim salon de dans se preconizează construirea de către Henry Guaracino a unui pavilion în cumunicație cu primul, situat mai jos de nivelul bulevardului.
- În iarna anului 1891, o furtună dezlănțuită a distrus o parte din acoperiș, dar și un perete al fațadei, reliefând instabilitatea construcției. Expertizele au propus, și consiliul comunal a aprobat la 29 ianuarie 1892 demolarea construcției. Primarul Al. Belik decide, printr-un proces verbal, oragnizarea șantierului în regim propriu pentru reconstrucția cazinoului în aprilie 1892.
- Concepută monumental, fără perspectiva panoramina si fără far, clădirea ar fi urmat să aibă o sală de teatru cu scenă, cabine și loje pe ambele laturi, dar și o sală de bal de aceleași dimensiuni. Înconjurată de o galerie deschisă spre magnifica priveliște, construcția ar fi avut la subsol toate unitățiile necesare. Grandoarea proiectului se diminuează treptat, astfel încat recepția făcută mult mai târziu decât ar fi fost dispus primarul Coiciu să îngăduie, constata existența unei săli de dans cu culoar.

It’s named the Casino Royal. The boat’s theme is based on the James Bond movie.
McDonald made his fortune on security cameras. Now retired, he enjoys lounging on the 3,000-square-foot deck, especially with his dog.
Inside, marble and mahogany decorate 7,000 square feet – no expense spared to create the ultimate yachting experience.
The sky lounge is the most-used room with a media area, dining room table and full bar.
In the formal salon, the big screen TV is elegantly concealed.
A 10-person crew lives on the boat full time.
Visitors stay in style in one of six guest bedrooms, including a VIP room with its own marble tub.
But the most luxurious accommodation, reserved for the owner, is the master suite. And no master bathroom would be complete without a seven-head shower.
TVs are concealed throughout the boat, which is kept in pristine condition, including an engine room that literally sparkles.
David lives just two hours from Stockton, and despite the city’s current financial struggles, he says this is one of the prettiest ports in the world.
“You can see the investment,” he says. “It’s a beautiful view.”
This is a private yacht so they won’t be giving any public tours, but it’s awfully fun to get an inside look at what $42 million floating on the water looks like.
The boat has not been back to Stockton for a while don’t know if it moved permanently or not

Villa Torlonia - Roma
Il Casino Nobile è un esempio di architettura neoclassica, con colonne e paraste marmoree di ordine gigante. I portici laterali ed il pronao palladiano sono opera dell'architetto Battista Caretti. A lui si devono, anche, i partiti decorativi di stile gotico e pompeiani di numerosi ambienti interni. Il frontone in terracotta, raffigurante il trionfo di Bacco, è dell'allievo di Canova Rinaldo Rinaldi.
Una volta acquistata la Vigna Colonna nel 1797, Giovanni Torlonia affidò a Giuseppe Valadier il compito di ristrutturarne il palazzo.
L'architetto, tra il 1802 ed il 1806, ristrutturò ed ingrandì l'edificio, detto anche "Casino nobile".
Il Valadier inserì all'interno nella sala da pranzo (Salle a manger, detta oggi Sala da ballo), degli specchi per migliorare e moltiplicare l'effetto dell'illuminazione dall'esterno.
Domenico Del Frate esegui dei dipinti e Antonio Canova dei bassorilievi in gesso, in parte esposti nella stanza a "Bercerau".
Dopo la morte di Giovanni, l'incarico di migliorare il Casino passò al figlio Alessandro (nel 1832) che, per migliorare l'impatto visivo del palazzo fece aggiungere un pronao con loggia all'ingresso e affidò a Francesco Podesti la decorazione ad affresco della Sala di Bacco; il Podesti dipinse così il Mito di Bacco, le Quattro stagioni e i Tre continenti[8].
Il piano terra ed il piano nobile servivano per ospitare i nobili nei ricevimenti, da cui il nome di "Casino nobile", mentre seminterrato e 2º piano erano lasciati alla servitù.
Dal seminterrato si accede anche a dei bunker fatti costruire da Benito Mussolini e, forse, ad una sala ipogea in stile simil-"Tomba etrusca".

In the meantime, the Lisboa itself lights up for the night. There was an air of opulence and vulgar display of wealth in there, with very well dressed and pretty, but plastic ladies in there as well. (real ladies,but plastic, you get the idea!) Jan/ Feb. 2012.
This casino was built in 1920 and was owned by a factory. Later on the casino turned into a hotel and was privately owned, but in 1999 they went bankrupt and the place remained empty.
Currently it is being renovated (Belgian style) and should get a new purpose in the future.
