View down the central funnel inside of the Reichstag dome on top of the Reichstag building, the seat of the German parliament (the Bundestag). The funnel is a so-called "light-diverting element" with mirrors that guides diffuse daylight into the plenary hall of the German Bundestag ten meters below and also serves as an exhaust "pipe" that deflects used air from the plenary hall through the 10-meter-wide central opening at the apex of the dome (which you can't see here).
For whatever reason the checked "pattern" of the reflective windows on the funnel's base (theoretically one could take a look into the plenary hall) always reminds me of a gambling table at a casino, hence the title which I've borrowed from one of the best James Bond movies (and I also like the 1967 parody). But of course, there's nothing "royale" or "gambling-ish" about this profoundly democratic place (which, as you know, it hasn't always been). Surrounding the funnel's base you can find the permanent exhibition "From the Reichstag to the Bundestag" which tells the eventful history of the Reichstag building from its beginnings to the present day.
Happy Window Wednesday, Everyone :)

The Casino Oceanus opened in 2009 and was designed by Paul Steelman, who was inspired by the Beijing National Aquatics Centre. It is located in the Fisherman's Wharf area of Macau, within walking distance from the Ferry building. It is the only casino in Macau without a hotel.
The Constanța Casino (Romanian: Cazinoul din Constanța) is a casino in Constanța, Romania, located at 2 Elisabeta Boulevard along the Black Sea. Considered a symbol of the city, it was built in Art Nouveau style according to the plans of Daniel Renard and inaugurated in August 1910. The last major repairs took place in 1986-1988, and the building is currently closed.

Chaos around 1am at the casino square. Carrera GT parked in the middle of the street near a Rolls-Royce. Not my best picture, but this car is already a legend. V10 engine, 1270 produced, super rare on the streets even for Monaco.
The price is over half-million dollars.

Construction began in 1912 and was finished a year later. The work was supervised by architect Petre Antonescu. The main shareholder in the casino was Baron of Marçay, a shareholder in the Monte Carlo Casino. The opening was celebrated with fireworks and a piano recital by George Enescu, and it became a major attraction between the wars.
After the communist takeover in the 1940s, gambling ceased and the casino is now an international conference center.

When asked in a survey about the ugliest places in Belgium, our Belgian coast came out as the winner. The motivation was the following: it is a mix of ugly concrete blocks, without soul and without style.
Fortunately, people are trying to do something about it here and there, such as in Middelkerke, where the Dutch architect Reinald Top built a striking new creation: the casino building that also contains a luxury hotel and restaurant.
Casino Kursaal near Ostend beach.
Shot when there was lots of wind, I saw my tripod moving, the result was sharp, strange enough.
Thanks for watching, kind regards, Christophe.

Lots of burnt up slot machines in the back room of the casino. Also a safe. This is a most interesting location, besides the burned out casino there are about 12-15 houses, two motels, a restaurant, truck repair garage and lots of sheds and smaller buildings. On US6 at Montgomery Pass. A real ghost town with a US Highway running right through it.
Located on US Highway 6, "the loneliest road" in Mineral County, Nevada. This is part of the series of the loneliest tourist attractions on US6. Not all are abandoned joints.
