Yet another photo from this shoot from April. There are soooo many that I love, so I'll continue posting them gradually over time! I was a little worried when Casey wanted to shoot here because...train cars? Really? But the sun was beginning to set just to the left of this particular one, and it was perfect! Unfortunately we were only able to shoot for about 5 minutes before getting kicked out of the train yard by police. Bummer!

I've been trying to upload something to Flickr every day, so here is a photo of Casey from almost a year ago! I wasn't kidding when I saw a few days ago that I still have tons of photos from the past year that I want to edit and blog! I'm also proud of the fact that I can look at photos that I took a year ago and still love them enough to want to post them!

Casey was in the top 36 of American Idol last season, and when I saw her first audition on the show I remember thinking to myself, "Wow, I'd love to photograph that gorgeous girl!" I was SO excited when I received an email from her last month about doing a photoshoot and designing her MySpace!
Casey was an absolute pleasure to shoot. She has amazing style, is incredibly photogenic, does great posing and facial expressions...basically a dream come true for a photographer. This is one of my favorite shots that I posted on Twitter yesterday. More coming once her MySpace is up, which will probably be in a couple of weeks!

Yesterday was the 3-year anniversary of my first day as a full-time photographer. I celebrated by doing a shoot in the morning with my favorite girl, Casey! I've said this before, but I honestly wish I could shoot with her every single day. I just adore her!!
I'm not really into props, but I bought this camera a couple weeks ago and thought it would be cute with this outfit :)

Francie & Casey got invited to a Friday night party and are ready to go. Francie, being the sweet down-to-earth girl with a flair for the MOD that she is, chose a modest lavender dress in case she sees any boys she might want to dance with. Casey, being the fun-loving good time party girl that SHE is, decided to wear a hot little minidress showing some of her cleavage. They're best friends, yet their styles are as different as day and night. ;)

After a day of pretty successful skating and shooting, we decided to head back to our respective homes. We happened to stop at a light next to a building that was being completely reworked and spotted this ridiculous ramp entrance that had not yet had a railing added. Figuring we only had a few days before the spot was ruined, Casey decided to brave the caution tape and hit the gap.

Some things in life are harder to understand then others, although everything has its own range of difficulty, depending on the perspective you are viewing at. I close my eyes praying to avoid this day, but I knew it would come. It had to come because life is a repeating cycle. So here's to the new beginning.
This is Casey. We had two shoots this past weekend, one on saturday afternoon and sunday morning. It was difficult which one to upload, AHH ! Enjoy the photos!

I got to Los Angeles yesterday afternoon and I LOVE it here! Everything is SO beautiful and the weather is amaaaazing. Even though I only got 3 hours of sleep the night before last, and about 4 hours of sleep last night, Casey & I got up super early this morning to shoot at sunrise. I've never shot on a beach before, and I wasn't sure how well it would turn out because I never shoot in direct sunlight without strobes and/or reflectors...but I am so happy with how these turned out (another in the comments, and another posted on my Twitter).
We're shooting again tonight at sunset! :)

Casey is definitely one of my favorite girls to shoot! We got together yesterday afternoon to take advantage of the nice weather and just shot at a park near her house. She has some of the coolest clothes ever and puts together amazing outfits!! I'm having such a hard time choosing which ones to edit, as well the order in which I upload them!

"Mighty Casey" also known as Brian Kavanagn stands as a monument outside of Wells Fargo Bank in Amarillo, Texas. It's said that the reason he's posed the way he is that it's a depiction of his being overly confident as it's stated he let two strikes pass as he leans on his bat. The team of Mudville is printed on the back of his shirt which was said to be his team.
The neighborhood calls her Casey. She's a street cat that has learned to go from door to door begging for food. I've always got treats for her. I even get flea prevention stuff from the vet to give her, so she's a pretty good looking cat for a vagrant. People have tried to adopt her and take her indoors but she is not interested. She disappears for days sometimes but eventually returns for more treats.
