I think this is my favorite from Sunday's shoot with Casey. It was the second one that I edited and I'm totally in love with it! I posted it on Twitter earlier today and got a lot of compliments on it...I'm always happy when others love my favorites :) She switched up her outfit a bit (different sweater and added a scarf instead of the fur) and I loved the vibrant colors of it!
EDIT: So, after receiving some feedback on Flickr & Facebook, I decided to replace the image with this second edit that I did. I was SO torn...but ultimately, I just love blues so much more than yellows. I'll include the original edit in the comments below, though. If anyone favorited the other one and doesn't like this one, feel free to remove it from your favorites haha.

Yet another photo from this shoot from April. There are soooo many that I love, so I'll continue posting them gradually over time! I was a little worried when Casey wanted to shoot here because...train cars? Really? But the sun was beginning to set just to the left of this particular one, and it was perfect! Unfortunately we were only able to shoot for about 5 minutes before getting kicked out of the train yard by police. Bummer!

Casey is definitely one of my favorite girls to shoot! We got together yesterday afternoon to take advantage of the nice weather and just shot at a park near her house. She has some of the coolest clothes ever and puts together amazing outfits!!

Casey was in the top 36 of American Idol last season, and when I saw her first audition on the show I remember thinking to myself, "Wow, I'd love to photograph that gorgeous girl!" I was SO excited when I received an email from her last month about doing a photoshoot and designing her MySpace!
Casey was an absolute pleasure to shoot. She has amazing style, is incredibly photogenic, does great posing and facial expressions...basically a dream come true for a photographer. This is one of my favorite shots that I posted on Twitter yesterday. More coming once her MySpace is up, which will probably be in a couple of weeks!

Francie & Casey got invited to a Friday night party and are ready to go. Francie, being the sweet down-to-earth girl with a flair for the MOD that she is, chose a modest lavender dress in case she sees any boys she might want to dance with. Casey, being the fun-loving good time party girl that SHE is, decided to wear a hot little minidress showing some of her cleavage. They're best friends, yet their styles are as different as day and night. ;)

After a day of pretty successful skating and shooting, we decided to head back to our respective homes. We happened to stop at a light next to a building that was being completely reworked and spotted this ridiculous ramp entrance that had not yet had a railing added. Figuring we only had a few days before the spot was ruined, Casey decided to brave the caution tape and hit the gap.

Some things in life are harder to understand then others, although everything has its own range of difficulty, depending on the perspective you are viewing at. I close my eyes praying to avoid this day, but I knew it would come. It had to come because life is a repeating cycle. So here's to the new beginning.
This is Casey. We had two shoots this past weekend, one on saturday afternoon and sunday morning. It was difficult which one to upload, AHH ! Enjoy the photos!

This isn't necessarily my favorite photo from this set, but I wanted to do a video showing my editing process, and this was the one that I decided to do.
Watch how I edited it here: vimeo.com/24759695. It includes skin cleanup, dodging & burning, and the use of one of my actions ("One" from Set One)! Also, I did end up doing a little bit more dodging on her chest and arms after I had finished recording. The video quality isn't the best when viewing full-screen...so I definitely need to play around with my export settings next time around :)

I got to Los Angeles yesterday afternoon and I LOVE it here! Everything is SO beautiful and the weather is amaaaazing. Even though I only got 3 hours of sleep the night before last, and about 4 hours of sleep last night, Casey & I got up super early this morning to shoot at sunrise. I've never shot on a beach before, and I wasn't sure how well it would turn out because I never shoot in direct sunlight without strobes and/or reflectors...but I am so happy with how these turned out (another in the comments, and another posted on my Twitter).
We're shooting again tonight at sunset! :)

"Mighty Casey" also known as Brian Kavanagn stands as a monument outside of Wells Fargo Bank in Amarillo, Texas. It's said that the reason he's posed the way he is that it's a depiction of his being overly confident as it's stated he let two strikes pass as he leans on his bat. The team of Mudville is printed on the back of his shirt which was said to be his team.
