Evening sun catches graves in the village churchyard of Bishops Cannings (pop. 1,800), just outside Devizes in Wiltshire.

The appeal we see or feel for anything, any place or anyone “Can Change”. The weather outdoors can change how we see a favorite spot we know. The light that’s present or not present can very much change the appearance of your garden. Light from a sunset can drastically alter our appreciation of a given flower, tree or person. Thanks for viewing my photos. The presence Gratitude and Kindness can affect relationships as well.

Cicadas produce a sound that can reach 90 to 100 decibels. This is at a level that can damage hearing. The noise is made by the male of the species trying to attract a mate. They do this from first thing in the morning to last thing at night!!!!!!! Keen....😁.

Kindness.

Moraine Lake is a place I just cannot get enough of! I have not posted so many photos of the same location within such a short timeframe before, but this spot deserves the extra attention. The beautiful blue waters set it apart as one of the prettiest lakes in the world for sure. The only sad part is that it has gotten extremely overcrowded and it is very difficult to access. However, even with that being said, it is still worth visiting. I am very thankful to have had the opportunity to see it in person!

Thanks to everyone that views and comments on my images - very much appreciated.

Reference the links page, I have now included beneath the link for Trade Republic, a new link to a YouTube playlist on how to get started in Trading as an absolute beginner, it’s very simple and easy to follow as well as being quite funny.

Now onto the photo, I took this about a year and a half ago, a hot spell in summer got me out of the house for a walkabout. I happened upon a small graveyard which I didn’t expect to find, noticing this old metal watering can and tap, I pondered as to why people put flowers on grave sites, as if to consider somewhat an outward practice of flourishment, that if the flowers are at least alive, then some resemblance of the living still remains. Seems humans take life for granted, are terrified of death, long for the life to comeback once someone has expired yet it takes so little time to, at least in present thought, to withdraw from the world’s perspective, humans are abundantly steeped in contradiction.

I hope everyone is well and so as always thank you! 😊

On Saturday the WSOR picked up these Mtys from the CN and dragged them to Madison. Here they are easing into Fitchburg,Wisconsin on the former C&NW to Oregon,Wi for Storage.

Shot taken for Saturday Self Challenge 26/04/2025 -- Bubbles .

You will have to do with just the two bubbles for the challenge , there was a spirit bubble on the tripod but is always hidden once a camera is mounted .

Anyway , here is a neat little level that fits into the flash hotshoe on top of the camera . With it in this configuration you can check that the camera is not tilting to one side or the other and that you are taking a shot with a level view . Of course if it is wonky horizons you are worried about then most cameras will have a built in indicator available to activate on the rear screen or in the viewfinder !!

Worth it one way or another , nothing so annoying as to see an image that is tilted when it should be straight ( Dutch Angles excepted ) !!

A good friend from a photo site back in the day who was a brilliant photographer always said about how wonky horizons were bad photography which could be easily fixed with post processing being one of the quickest and easiest fixes going - something I have never forgotten D.J. !!

Well a bubble challenge sorted and for a tune to go with it , I wonder how many of you will remember this ----

Can't leave the house without these

Canning Town station, Docklands Light Railway

This is one of the few still lifes I have taken. I like how the rust easily flakes off the long bent spikes.

Can you believe I forgot to put the memory card in the DC? thus, only a few photos taken by my smartphone. Dame it!!

My Iris wanted to jump right in the fountain pool, who wouldn't want to do that? It was in the mid-day, hot & humid.

As LONG as we've lived in NJ, it's only 2 & 1/2 hrs. to Philly, but, this was the first time I visited there. It goes to show you how someone didn't like traveling?!

Yes We Can Can

Now's the time for all good men

To get together with one another.

We got to iron out our problems

And iron out our quarrels

And try to live as brothers.

And try to find peace within

Without stepping on one another.

And do respect the women of the world.

Remember you all have mothers.

We got to make this land a better land

Than the world in which we live.

And we got to help each man be a better man

With the kindness that we give.

I know we can make it.

I know darn well we can work it out.

Oh yes we can, I know we can can

Yes we can can, why can't we?

If we wanna get together we can work it out.

And we gotta take care of all the children,

The little children of the world.

'Cause they're our strongest hope for the future,

The little bitty boys and girls.

We got to make this land a better land

Than the world in which we live.

And we got to help each man be a better man

With the kindness that we give.

I know we can make it.

I know darn well we can work it out.

Oh yes we can, I know we can can

Yes we can can, why can't we?

If we wanna, yes we can can.
