I can honestly say that this is one of my most favorite looks I've ever put together. This is a sexy number, but the elements of the coat and this lovely bun tone it down a tad. There's like this perfect balance and I'm so happy with how it came out! I hope you all love it as much as I do.

This image is from a more recent session. I have been going through my back catalogue to salvage some favourite images I had not completed yet with poetry from a previous camera, where an update on the computer was in danger of making that work very difficult to finish. I have completed that task, but it occurred to me today how much I move forwards and backwards in time. This poem came to me this afternoon on looking at this image, and I am comforted I am not alone in that task.

Who can resist a 'road' shot on the approach to Glencoe? It's got a hint of Hindu Kush about it! There was a faint dusting of snow on some of the tops this afternoon. Who can't be impressed by the magnificence of this landscape?

Okay, I am not going to offer any clues yet, let's see if anyone can guess with reasonable accuracy what this is. Derek, you should get this one!

Now onto the photo, I took this about a year and a half ago, a hot spell in summer got me out of the house for a walkabout. I happened upon a small graveyard which I didn’t expect to find, noticing this old metal watering can and tap, I pondered as to why people put flowers on grave sites, as if to consider somewhat an outward practice of flourishment, that if the flowers are at least alive, then some resemblance of the living still remains. Seems humans take life for granted, are terrified of death, long for the life to comeback once someone has expired yet it takes so little time to, at least in present thought, to withdraw from the world’s perspective, humans are abundantly steeped in contradiction.

The employee at the hardware store shot me a side glance when she found me reaching into a trash can with my iPhone to capture this shot. For a few strange moments I might as well have been at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York City or any modernist gallery but I was in the paint department of Goody's Hardware in East Haven, Connecticut. That's right, the entire black plastic trash can was empty but lined with splattered paint in mostly red, yellow, ochre and white. It was a remarkable find ala Jackson Pollock, a fine example of accidental modernist art. Voila!
This is a view looking straight down into the trash can. The photo I uploaded yesterday shows one interior side of the same trash can.
