I keep falling asleep
To these wicked dreams
Can't fight the darkness deep in me
It's where she likes to keep
Haunting my wicked dreams"

------------------------------ JESUS ✝️ SAVES-------------------------------
7 Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me WILL BE SAVED. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY; I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL. (John 10:7-10)
Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so they might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH! Because JESUS LOVES YOU! ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

A Bristol Boxkite, designed in 1910, this replica was made in the mid-1960s for the movie 'Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines'
I wonder how long it takes to check the tension on all those bracing cables.....
The Boxkite was a relatively successful 2-seat training aircraft of its day, with 87 being constructed in the years before WW1. It can achieve a dizzying speed of approx 40mph/64km/h.
It is owned and operated by The Shuttleworth Collection in Bedford, England.
There was tiny avalanches rolling down the side of this mountain and the rangers were doing avalanche control that day.... I managed to get some cool shots of that. Straight from the Canon 40D with some sharpness added.

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
And no Hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no country
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
Maybe someday you will join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no posessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
Or Brotherhood of Man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
And maybe someday you will join us
And the world will be as one
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
Maybe someday you will join us
And the world will be as one...

My Mom had a late afternoon dental appointment on Monday that I took her to. Afterwards I joined her for dinner and then since I brought my camera along, I suggested we go up to the rooftop patio and watch the sunset. She liked that idea. We enjoyed the view and I also enjoyed the photo opp.

I sat on the curb to get this photo of my favorite purple Volkswagen beetle. I wanted to shoot it for the We're Here group's visit to the Perfect Purple Saturdays group. I don't know who owns it or where exactly on the street it might be parked. Wasn't sure if i would find it this morning, but i did. I figured i had a two-fer, if i could get down low enough for the Our Daily Challenge "How low can you go?"
I found this story about woman that worked at this canning company written by Ed Neckar: My grandmother worker there in the 40 & 50s. They lived in Montfort, 5 mi west of Cobb. She would get up at 4:00am, have a piece of bread, maybe with bacon grease on it and a cup of coffee. Then if my grandfather who was a farm laborer had work in that direction he would drive her to Cobb. If his work was elsewhere, she would walk. She never knew if they had work or not until she got there. They would work as long as they had product to can. Sometime until after dark. Then she'd walk home. They were paid in cash on the day they worked. Or sometimes in irregulars, cans that were damaged or mislabeled or not labeled at all. If she got irregulars she would carry them home. Often when we visited we would have Surprise Vegtable with supper since we didn't know what was in the can until it was opened. More history: The Cobb Canning Factory was built in 1923 in Cobb, Wisconsin and began its first canning season in 1924. This factory played a significant role in the local economy and was part of the broader canning industry that flourished in Wisconsin during that time

This is the oldest British flyable aircraft.
Built in 1912 by Robert Blackburn, it is the only one of this model constructed.
If you look very carefully, you can just see the engine cylinders, below the propeller shaft, which rotate around the crankshaft in the opposite direction to the propeller, as this is a rotary engine (not to be confused with a radial engine.)
Turns are aided by warping or twisting the wings via cables. Wing warping was invented and patented by the Wright Brothers, who vigorously defended their patents - it is likely that Wilbur, in particular, spent more time in court than he ever spent in the air.
Despite its fragile appearance, the Blackburn type D was capable of 60mph and a flight duration of more than 2 hours.
The aircraft was damaged in a landing accident in 1914 and later purchased by Richard Shuttleworth. It was restored to flight in 1947 and can be seen on calm days flying at The Shuttleworth Collection's base of Old Warden.
I have removed part of the lawn as I intend to replace it by a flower bed next year. At the moment I'm about to add a brick border which isn't as easy as I thought it would be as the soil is very hard. Sethi tried to help but soon had more interesting things to do. :)
I can’t describe to you what a welcoming sight this was the night I decided to go exploring at dusk by myself with my camera, after docking near shore whilst on a Murray River houseboat with 10 friends. I’ve never had the best sense of direction, and a few quiet beers during the day didn’t help fine tune that sense at all. No phone reception, only had thongs on my feet (flip flops for our American friends), being devoured by mosquitos and who knows what other little critters in the dark. After a couple of hours lost, the lights of the houseboat were a most welcome sight , a beacon of safety, warmth, beer and friends. Would I do it again? Without a moments hesitation 😉
The 10 of us on the boat were all good friends but started to drift apart. Too much pier pressure I guess. Someone started playing Maroon 5 , which we didn’t think appropriate. Still, whatever floats your boat. Thankfully a near disaster brought us all back together. We went too close to a Bluetooth obstruction, started to sync. Brought back the words the hire guy had told me when I asked do houseboats sink very often? He said usually just once. Had to find a boating equipment sale to fix things up, was quite an oar deal. And one of the guys hurt his tooth, but luckily we found a tooth ferry! But happy to report that friend-ship prevailed and I’m now a recovering aquaholic 😀
Hope everyone is having a good run into Christmas, cheers

Spotted at our local garden center.
Bulbine frutescens, the wild kopieva or stalked bulbine, is a species of flowering plant in the genus Bulbine, native to southern Africa (South Africa, Lesotho, Eswatini)
This variable species grows as a small shrub, with short, low stems that produce roots down towards the ground, and slender, erect, succulent, grey-green leaves.
The flowers appear throughout the summer, on a 30 cm erect inflorescence. The flowers can be orange, yellow or white. Like all Bulbine species, the stamens are distinctively tufted ("bearded").
DB Cargo's 66198 clatters across Marple Wharf Junction with its rake of box wagons full of stone from Dowlow quarry, destined for the aggregates processing facility at Ashburys (6H52). Marple aquaduct can be seen basking in the sunshine in the foreground.
As is always the risk when photographing the aquaduct in nice weather, numerous people tried their best to inadvertently get in the way of my shot in the run up to the 66's arrival as they ambled along the towpath enjoying the views and the sunshine. I could hear the train rumbling towards the viaduct as a man and his pram were only three quarters of the way across, but luckily he saw me lifting my camera in readiness and obligingly scurried out of the frame with seconds to spare!

The appeal we see or feel for anything, any place or anyone “Can Change”. The weather outdoors can change how we see a favorite spot we know. The light that’s present or not present can very much change the appearance of your garden. Light from a sunset can drastically alter our appreciation of a given flower, tree or person. Thanks for viewing my photos. The presence Gratitude and Kindness can affect relationships as well.
