I had used another well placed half day of vacation to get over to St. Louis to shoot a High Iron Special and did a little exploring and familiarizing myself with the Lindenwood Yard and north end of the BNSF River Sub (STL to Memphis line). Although they have been around for a year or more, I finally had an opportunity to catch a CREX leading a BNSF train. While waiting for the special, BNSF brought north this empty Rush Tower coal train.
This is Watson Road in Shrewsbury, MO - old Route 66. The advertising harkens back to the days of the Frisco and this being a major highway. Amazingly, the message on the bridge still looks good. And "It" was shipped as this is an empty coal train heading north back to the mines in Wyoming.

This one is assigned to the Wisconsin Division Engineering Department, and is seen here parked at the Arlington Park, IL depot on an April 1986 Saturday morning. Note that the daily commuter parking fee was only $0.75!
