Macro Monday photo, theme Buttons and Bows.

My kids and I have been sick for a few days so I wasn’t able to finish the No Flowers Challenge on Friday. So, here is my picture for the challenge - day 5 of 5.

I would like to thank Dawn for the lovely testimonial she wrote. I love the opportunity flickr has given me to interact with and be inspired by people miles and miles away. The miles may be many friend but I feel your sweetness close…in my heart. Thank you.

The most perfect button necklace made by Aimee and really old edition of The Country Bunny, also from Aimee.

#Macro Mondays. # Buttons and Bows. This is the age of the train - Railway uniform buttons from the LNWR (pre 1923) LMS (pre nationalisation) and BR (probably 1970s).

Who's got the button?

This is the ever-lovely Snowflake Sonata, for the theme "Button" in the Blythe a Day group. I love this button-y dress I made when I first got into this fun hobby. This theme was easy for me because I have a huge button collection!

Macro Mondays theme - Three HMM

These were buttons once used by my Grandmother in her sewing days.

I've had this idea for a little while now and thought it would be perfect the HMM button theme. Overall I like the effect, but I ran short on time balancing out the flash versus ambient light - I think this will be something that I will revisit again.

I once had a sign that said, "He who dies with the most toys, wins." I think it should be changed to "who has the most buttons." Look around your room, house, or whatever. Devices that have buttons are everywhere.

Thousands of buttons aimlessly , waiting to be embroidered somewhere .

Miles de botones sin rumbo, esperando ser bordados en algun lugar.

This is not an original idea. I was inspired by an image of Dorothy Miller's that I saw on a Facebook page called Creative Vision Textures Overlays - www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10210245110955511&set.... Check it out!

A Macro Mondays submission on the topic "Buttons and bows".

When I was searching for a button for my MacroMonday shot I noticed that I have purple buttons too. So here it is, yesterdays props and a set up like my last weeks purple shot. Yes, I know, I'm really creative :)

Macro Mondays - Theme : buttons and bows ...

A new series of buttons.

I went with a theme this time, which is obviously facial hair. The bottom one is just a standalone piece to mix it up a bit.

These are coming soon to a ghetto near you ;)

I welcome any criticism. What do you guys think of them?

All the cute buttons I have (so far)!

I do have a thing for buttons they are such a cute detail and in this case functional.

The only problem is getting them done up so a helping a hand is normally needed just make sure those hands are still around when it comes to taking the dress of otherwise you will be somewhat trapped in it.

Yeah I know that would be a dream for most of you lol.

Luckily I do this one all on my own.

I have a little plan for this coming Friday and that is to go Christmas shopping and to try on a few wedding dresses just for a giggle I might even ask a friend to join me.

Wonderful set of three vintage peach colored buttons from the 1940s in a flower style with a dome center. The buttons are 1" across and have a metal shank back. These buttons were unused and on part of their original backing when I purchased them, but it fell apart. However, the buttons themselves are in fabulous condition.

El tema de esta semana (12 de Noviembre) es "Botones" (sólo para la ropa!)

The theme for this week (on November 12) is "Buttons" (only for clothing!).

A bow in B&W. This bow happened to be on a present sitting under the Christmas Tree. The texture seemed interesting enough to warrant a colorless Christmas shot. HMM!
