They are bookmarks I made. They are named A through E (for the moment). Future info will be provided when I have it.

In an attempt to thin out my button collection I have decided to donate some to charity.

Rather than dump multiple tins of assorted buttons on them, I am sorting through my stash and sewing the special ones on to card.

The remainder are being sorted by colour and are going into decorated jars.

A pleasantly calming task, but one which will take some time to complete

made a bunch of buttons -- doodled on paper, scanned them, did the layout on photoshop, then sent them off to my buttonmaker. =) happy happy buttons.

I used to put all my buttons with the same colour together in boxes and jars, which worked great until recently (too many buttons, too many different boxes and jars, very unorganized). My mother gave me these plastic containers for my birthday, they have different compartments, which i have to say, is very handy... I didn't like them at first (i loved all my vintage boxes and jars) but now all my buttons are starting to get so lovely organized, i really like them, even though they are not really meant for storing buttons...

See the ones in the middle in the front with the big yellow centres? I bought them this time around ^_^

My swap-bot partner in this case really liked buttons. So I added this piece as an extra. It's just 15 cheap little buttons, but to draw it back to the embroidery theme, I added a sheep in the corner.

Nostalgia weekend in Leicester with my parents.

When I was little my Mum had a tin of buttons that we used to play with. I'm sure that's how I learned to count. I couldn't resist getting the old tin out and rummaging through it!

A nod to the tiled building facades around the world that are heir to the traditions of Portuguese tiles. These buttons capture the weathered urban surfaces that are part and parcel of the tiles' charm.
