Buttons is the larger of these 2 little ones ... not sure yet if the smaller one is a buck or not .. but both are kinda cute!
I'm still experimenting with alternative wedding bouquets. I've got the paper flower folding down, now I'm on to buttons and felt. I whipped these out today. My plan is to make a bouquet of origami flowers and insert the button stems throughout. We'll see.
This is my photo for March 15, 2011.

This is the way I display all the wonderful mother-of-pearl buttons I got from my grandmother. Rather than have them sit in a drawer, they hang on the wall.

When I was in college I got a whole bunch of fun buttons from a Christian Book Store in MN. I sported them on my school bag and sometimes classmates would try to "borrow" them when my back was turned, lol.
I lost a couple but these are the ones I still have in my possession today.
Taken for 6th March ODC: Buttons

Millefiori canes and uncured/unfiished polymer clay buttons, meant to coordinate with the Painted Mums print from Heather Bailey's Freshcut fabric collection. Blogged here.
I wanted to start a 365 photo challenge and today's subject was buttons. This was my favorite. I love that something as simple as a button can become so creative.
More beautiful buttons. Its almost a shame to use them.. As my friend says, "Its the thrill of the hunt rather than the kill."
For my watercolour students: I've painted the lightest colours of the very large button and it is drying now. For everyone else: yes that is a car: "Lightning McQueen". Our grandson occasionally buries it in buttons.
This series is of some little shortbread buttons I made for my baby shower (in March 08 - I'm a bit behind in uploading ;-p). Topped with pink and blue tinted white chocolate (as we chose to keep the sex of our baby a surprise). We now have our darling little girl, Lucia, who whilst in-utero was named Button!
I got a bit out of control with the processing of these photos - I wanted to try every possible variation! I've narrowed it down to 2-3 variations of each to upload here. I think the simplest ones ended up looking the best.
