Buttons, Beads and Baubles - button heart

send to my swap partner - she likes black and cameos.

This button card has been in my collection for many years. I found it snuggling in the velvet remnants from a seamstress' estate!

Bone button disc would have been covered with fabric or stamped metal and then sewn through clothing. The buttons were cut from scapula of shin bones of cows.

These button hearts were made for Valentine's for my daughter's class. I got the idea from SweetSugarBelle's blog. sweetsugarbelle.blogspot.com/

this was an attempt to make a quilt like this one: flickr.com/photos/eggmoney/400373863/ , mine doesn't look like hers which really worried me at first, the buttons were an afterthought in place of quilting stitching and I love them, in the end I'm happy with it

Flowers growing next to the river flowing through Shark Valley Trail.

The button cover held on with contact cement. The silver screw releases top. Other screw is shutter release button. I do not recommend disassembling the shutter release button stack of components. Shutter problems are due to battery connections and the circuit board.

Cleaning out my stash a bit to create this nice little assortment of scrapbooking buttons.

Button was intermittently attacking dragonflies - though in this case, I think he may have been fleeing Dr. F. I don't know why, I'm the one who trod on him.

My button design for the Zine Librarians (un)Conference which is happening in Seattle this weekend.

I got my grandmother's button jar for Christmas!

Miss Suzume Uzura had her first birthday on September 23rd! :'D She's wearing a Licca dress and an of Montreal False Priest button, and of course a bunny/rabbit hat. If you look at all the pictures of Suzume in my photostream, you'll notice she's never not wearing some kind of rabbit-related headgear. :D

Here's the button I put on my sideways cardigan. I decided not to use the button band, so I could use the single rock button.

Button Snakeroot Eryngium yuccifolium in Nash Prairie, a privately owned native coastal prairie preserve in Brazoria Co. It is leased to a cattle ranch but is only used for hay mowing. No grazing, seeding, pesticides, fertilizers or irrigation used. July 2009.

Native flora that I saw near Old Pelion Hut, Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, Tasmania.

Trabalhinho do feriado.

Colar com corrente ouro velho, com várias coisinhas penduradinhas. Marronzinho para esquentar o inverno tão frio aqui do RS.

É tão bom escolher as continhas e fazer a composição. ^^
