From Muscatine Pearl Works in Muscatine, IA... now the home of the National Button Museum
This button card has been in my collection for many years. I found it snuggling in the velvet remnants from a seamstress' estate!

Bone button disc would have been covered with fabric or stamped metal and then sewn through clothing. The buttons were cut from scapula of shin bones of cows.
These button hearts were made for Valentine's for my daughter's class. I got the idea from SweetSugarBelle's blog. sweetsugarbelle.blogspot.com/
this was an attempt to make a quilt like this one: flickr.com/photos/eggmoney/400373863/ , mine doesn't look like hers which really worried me at first, the buttons were an afterthought in place of quilting stitching and I love them, in the end I'm happy with it
this was a little token from a fabulous wedding i went to last month. (it's a guacamole.) it was seriously the most beautiful, creative wedding i had ever been to.

i made a 2.25 inch pinback button / badge for a private swap on Swap-bot.
i used the rubber stamp on the right.
i'm sending this to my partner in exchange for a couple of Prince William and Catherine Middleton royal wedding postcards. score! :) i'll probably send her a little tiny hippo toy too.
The button cover held on with contact cement. The silver screw releases top. Other screw is shutter release button. I do not recommend disassembling the shutter release button stack of components. Shutter problems are due to battery connections and the circuit board.

Button was intermittently attacking dragonflies - though in this case, I think he may have been fleeing Dr. F. I don't know why, I'm the one who trod on him.

Miss Suzume Uzura had her first birthday on September 23rd! :'D She's wearing a Licca dress and an of Montreal False Priest button, and of course a bunny/rabbit hat. If you look at all the pictures of Suzume in my photostream, you'll notice she's never not wearing some kind of rabbit-related headgear. :D
Here's the button I put on my sideways cardigan. I decided not to use the button band, so I could use the single rock button.
Button Snakeroot Eryngium yuccifolium in Nash Prairie, a privately owned native coastal prairie preserve in Brazoria Co. It is leased to a cattle ranch but is only used for hay mowing. No grazing, seeding, pesticides, fertilizers or irrigation used. July 2009.
