Button copy signage on the Bronx River Parkway southbound approaching its south end at the Bruckner Expressway (I-278) in the Bronx. Since New York is replacing their button copy signs at a fast rate, I'm not sure how much longer these signs will be alive, but it's nice that I was able to capture them. I also dig the red button copy sign!

With Grand Prix tracks having safety barriers and run off areas it's not often the crowd get this close to the action. Thanks to Vodafone the event allowed the public to experience the speed and noise, up close and personal, when Jenson Button took his Mclaren F1 car at speed up and down Deansgate, one of Manchester's main shopping streets, with a crowd of 55,000 people stood down each side.

I came up with these while trying to find a use for all my novelty buttons. The pattern can be found at dishclothdiaries.blogspot.com/

I decided that the ribbon tie on the baby sweater didn't work so well. Instead, I did a crochet chain closure with a cute little button.

Decorate a cell phone, flash drive, purse, bag, zipper, key chain and more!

So I was reading the MDSW board on Ravelry and someone mentioned their plans to make a button of their ravatar. At first I thought these people were crazy, but then I realized that I could have my mascot Tissue-San on a button for a very small sum.

I now have the most useless item ever in my possession. My Paypal account should be revoked.

Button is a beautiful 9 year old Jack Russell, she has very long hair and likes to bark at dogs on the TV (what dog doesn't). I write this whilst she's is downstairs, in the living room, plonked up against the sofa.

Recently it has become apparent that the illness that she bounced back from so well in February has come back, and unfortunately despite our best efforts we're at the point where the kindest thing is for her to be put to sleep.

It's devastating, I've have spent the past few days trying to remain positive, ensuring that her last days would be as peaceful as possible whilst trying to convince myself that we've made the right decision.

My mum and my sister’s visited last night to say goodbye to her, pictures were taking and kisses exchanged, this afternoon Button will be gone.

At first I was very upset, thoughts were bouncing around my head like had we done our absolute best for her? But now I feel an overwhelming sense of relief, she'll suffer no longer, and even though she won't be around, she'll be in our hearts forever.

-------

I decided to see her after she was put to sleep, she looked ever so peaceful, just as if she was lying in her bed. We're still upset, but also relieved, it cannot have been easy for her over the past few weeks and months.

When we got back into the house the first thing we saw was a photograph of Button lying in the flower bed... a typical day for her really. It's strange but all the photographs we have around the house are now memories, fantastic memories though.

Love you Button

This is the last of this batch, one never even made it on here, but I will will be making another one of each of these I hope over the next couple of weeks :

once i settled on a basic design for the button i started making different types, to see what geometries work the best. I still haven't made the perfect button but we are narrowing in on something durable, consistent, and easy to construct.

When it was still open, I loved looking through the drawers of glass buttons at buttonbutton on Cordova St. in Vancouver. I hope they are able to find a new location soon.

at about 1:2.8 (18mm / 50mm with macro coupler)

the ring around the view hole is perhaps the inside of the 50mm lens?

obviously putting the 50mm on the 18-55 is not so useful, but just wanted to see what happened...
