The Butler Island Plantation is found along Hwy 17 south of Darien Georgia. It was one of the largest Plantations in Georgia. Started in the 1790's until late 1867. Now is under the Nature Conservancy. There is a 75 foot Rice Mill that was built in the 1850's.

A strange butler was hanging from the ceiling where the Halloween Castle display was the week earlier. I really wanted to take pictures of that display, but I guess an undead screaming man in a pinstripe suit is good too.
