The fire reminds me awesome song from Evanescence - Good Enough.
Have a hot, awesome and wonderful weekend dear friends!!!
Euonymus alatus, with "burning bush" as one of the common English names, after God appeared to Moses in a bush that was apparently on fire, but not consumed. These plants are common ornamentals. You can see why.
Thank you for looking. Isn't God a great artist?

Yes, my burning passion for flowers, the capturing of their beauty in a thousand different ways, a wonderful challenge... everyday!
There are people who 'talk' to the flowers and plants? Me, I just 'listen' to them, I open the wrapping, they fall open on the table, I look carefully, with open heart, and they tell me.
The closer I looked the more these invited me in, to listen , yet keeping the centre of the flower still very secret... They emerged from the dark.
Have a great day and thank you for your visit and comment, M, (*_*)

From my archived files and a different photo. A man burns herbs in a Celtic bowl on my visit to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Fair in 2018.
Smudging, or other rites involving the burning of sacred herbs (e.g., white sage) or resins, is a ceremony practiced by some Indigenous peoples of the Americas. While it bears some resemblance to other ceremonies and rituals involving smoke (e.g., Australian smoking ceremony, some types of saining) from other world cultures, notably those that use smoke for spiritual cleansing or blessing, the purposes and particulars of the ceremonies, and the substances used, can vary widely among tribes, bands, and nations, and even more so among different world cultures. Burning light - Sunset at Winskill Stones with intense burning light of the sun's last rays, streaming onto the lone hawthorn tree and just catching the limestone pavement.
The cloud bank which had just moved in enveloped most of the sky except for a small portion on the western horizon with the setting sun streaming through this narrow gap. The cloud cover removed the blue scattered light normally seen with a cloudless sky at sunset, leaving the sun's almost red rays to dominate the scene with an unusual intensity.
Inspired by Pete Rowbottom, Wigan, UK who's sunset the previous day at Winskill flic.kr/p/PrjPWa convinced me it was a good idea to visit the stones at last light the following day. Thanks Pete!

I took this while I was out last night in the freezing cold trying to get a decent shot of Christams lights! I liked this better then the lights!
Hafen Hamburg - Waltershof

▶ "Euonymus alatus — commonly known as winged spindle, winged euonymus, or burning bush— is a species of deciduous flowering shrub in the bittersweet family (Celastraceae), native to central and northern China, Japan, and Korea. It is a popular ornamental plant in gardens and parks due to its bright pink or orange fruit and attractive bright red fall foliage. The flowers are greenish, borne over a long period in the spring.
Euonymus alatus is not native to North America, introduced to the United States in the 1860s. Its range now extends from New England south to northern Florida and the Gulf Coast, where, in the wild, it is considered invasive."

on the way home this morning, I saw this dramatic sunset after a thunderstorm. it seems the forest is burning. So I have to stop and took a picture with my smartphone.
