The below zero temps will not stop the fun. I was surprised to see the balloons doing so well in the cold.

She hates the cold, but braved the wind and rain to scan the horizon for whales and such.

I spent at least twenty minutes or so watching a Canada goose family (mom, dad, and four goslings), while I stood in the rain and wet grass and got soaked. Once they finished their breakfast of grass mom and dad got busy preening themselves while the youngsters huddled tight against each other and settled down for a nap. This little bundle of fluff consists of the four goslings. It was raining fairly hard when I took this shot, but getting soaked to get these shots was well worth it. A flock of sheep has taken up residence in the field next door to us, so I couldn't wait for some lovely sunlight to go in search of a photo. As the lambs were busy running around their mums, I trekked around the field and found this little area of trees that had masses of sheep's wool tangled around the branches. The contrast of the wool and colourful lichen growing over the branches really caught my eye.

Within a few shots of this the light was gone and a few sheep decided they wanted to have my camera bag for dessert, so I hotfooted it out of there....
