Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus died that death for YOU and I. The good news is there no more punishment for sin left, we were and are all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

Our recent record-setting high temperatures brought out the frogs and turtles to enjoy the summer-like weather. This male bullfrog came out this morning to enjoy the unexpected warmth. Wildwood Park, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Almost straight out of the camera I just added a little sharpness. I think this is a young bullfrog because it wasn't very big. Could be a female too.
While walking around Mill Lake in Abbotsford, B.C. we might have missed seeing this fellow if a couple of folks had not pointed him out to us! (22-08-03-4270)

This guy popped up a few yards away from me while I was photographing dragonflies. On the camera I didn't think it was a keeper but when I pulled it up on the computer and saw that the ripples on the water were like clouds in a blue sky, I decided this was my art project for today.

Female bullfrog enjoying some unusually warm February temperatures. Wildwood Park, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
I posted a pied-billed grebe nabbing a bullfrog pollywog/tadpole a while ago. This time, it was a green heron, lurking in the grass, and downing another young bullfrog.
A big male bullfrog under our dock at Mill Pond. This guy was definitely the king of the pond. His bellow was a true window rattling bass. I found him in the morning and played him some other male bullfrog recordings from Youtube. That really got him going. If you look closely you can see the ripples in the water from his deep bass bellow. Quite a proud guy.
While I have often had cause to curse the thick mesh of intertwined shrubs and plants and trees that grow along the water’s edge at wetlands and small lakes, they do provide a super effective shield against spooking or flushing animals. If one can find a way through, without too much disruption, most creatures will carry on with their business.
Large American Bullfrogs are fairly common here, and targets for a host of predators. They can be heard regularly, but those sunning near the edge of the land can be quick to bolt if a situation gets too much like stalking. Using the branches and leaves as cover, I was able to belly crawl a ways in to secure an image of this large and beautifully-coloured Bullfrog. And, more important: I got out of there and it was still perched on its old stump in the water.

Not the biggest Bullfrog I have ever seen. Perhaps a medium-sized one.
The African bullfrog (Pyxicephalus adspersus) is a species of frog in the Pyxicephalidae family. It is also known as the pixie frog due to its Latin name. It is found in Angola, Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and possibly Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Its natural habitats are dry savanna, moist savanna, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, intermittent freshwater lakes, intermittent freshwater marshes, arable land, pastureland, and canals and ditches. This is a large frog, with males weighing 1.4 kg (3.1 lb), though can easily exceed 2 kg (4.4 lb); females are half the size, making it unique among frogs, as in most amphibians females are usually larger than males. Males can reach 23 cm (9 inches) while females are much smaller.
Jeremiah was a bullfrog. I see this bullfrog out on warm nights. It always hangs out in the same place. At night, the eyes on it glow in the moonlight and it is cool to see. I saw it out this morning in the daylight, so I had to run back inside to get my camera to get a shot.

I'm so thankful this is a native to Florida. If you hadn't noticed I had to change the last three frog photo titles to my great sadness.
Third in my reptiles and amphibians set is this American Bullfrog enjoying a warm sunny day in the Nature Conservancy Cheyenne Bottoms Preserve, Kansas.
