Novotorzhsky Borisoglebsky Monastery is one of the oldest Russian Orthodox monasteries. It was founded in 1038.
Since 1804 and still it is the tallest building in the city. The complex engineering structure of the church in the classical style unites four tiers: the first is the Holy Gate (this is the main entrance to the monastery), the second houses the main premises of the church with an altar area, the third has a bell tower, and the fourth has an observation deck made in the form of an elegant rotunda.

С 1804 года и до сих пор это самое высокое строение в городе. Сложная инженерная конструкция церкви в классическом стиле объединяет четыре яруса: первый представляет собой Святые врата (это главный вход в монастырь), на втором расположены основные помещения церкви с алтарной зоной, на третьем — колокольня, и на четвёртом — смотровая площадка, выполненная в виде изящной ротонды.
Harar (or Harrar or Harer) is an eastern city in Ethiopia. The city is located on a hilltop at 1885 meters.
For centuries, Harar has been a major commercial centre, linked by the trade routes with the rest of Ethiopia, the Horn of Africa, and the Arabian Peninsula.
Harar Jugol has been listed in the World Heritage by UNESCO. It is "considered 'the fourth holy city' of Islam" with nearly 100 mosques, three of which date from the 10th century.
Harar is also famous for its coffees and the french poet Arthur Rimabud whol ived there.
The city is protected by a huge wall, and only few gates allowed people to enter. Nowadays, no more doors, just the Wall!
