Gangaramaya Park is a children’s park, with plenty of greenery and flora. Built around Beira Lake, the park is a great place to relax or even birdwatch, as it is frequented by rare birds. Maintained by the Sri Lankan Army, the Gangaramaya Park is rather clean and is one of the must-visit parks in Sri Lanka

Under Trajan's rule, the Roman empire reached the peak of its power. During his 20 years rule, Trajan was often concerned with public works. The most notable were public baths, of which little survives, and a new commercial quarter known as Trajan's Market, created by cutting away the slope of the Quirinal Hill. A fascinating and complex structure, utilitarian but possessing an austere monumental beauty, the market hosted more than 150 shops and offices on three levels connected by streets.

A classic shot of the Huisman Musterd #Mill over at the Zaanse Schans in Zaandam, the Netherlands. Zaanse Mustard is a well known product in the Netherlands and this windmill had definitely contributed to the reputation of it. This composition is similar to an earlier posted blue hour portrait version. I just love how the evening light bounces off the side of the shed in this image. This is what makes the shot work for me, how about you?

Assumption Cathedral is one of the most ancient cathedrals of Yaroslavl; it had been laid down at the beginning of the 13th century at the order of Prince Konstantin. The Assumption Cathedral was more than once destroyed by fire and then rebuilt; in 1937 it had been blown down and a park was laid out on the place. Nowadays on the upper level of the Volga Embankment you can see the restored cathedral, with its white stone walls and golden domes. The interior of the cathedral is carefully recreated.

Friday October 1, 2021, the Eiffel Tower turned pink for the launching of Pink October in Paris! A wonderful message to support all women (and men) fighting against breast cancer.
All visitors of Burano remain intrigued by the many colours and the colorful houses that are reflected into the green waters of channels, by the leaning bell tower, by the tranquility and the calmness with which the elderly ladies embroider original Burano lace by their tombolo (or lace pillow), while they are laughing and chatting in squares among them. It seems to be in paradise.

Of the four, Rialto Bridge is the oldest and most famous and until 1854 the only one across the Canal Grande. In 1181 when it was first constructed it was a bridge of boats. In 1250 given the growing importance of the Rialto market it was replaced by a wooden bridge with a moving central section to allow the tallest ships to pass through. Later two rows of shops were built along the sides of the bridge and their rent helped pay for maintenance. In 1444 the bridge collapsed under the weight of a large crowd gathered to watch the Duke of Ferrara's wedding procession. It was then decided to rebuild it in stone and the design by Antonio da Ponte was chosen from among those submitted by great architects such as Palladium, Michelangelo, Sansovino and Vignola.

UnipolSai Corporate Centre will have an X-shaped, nest-like structure; the materials used for construction will be glass, wood and steel. The works will be completed by an auditorium with more than 270 seats and a panoramic greenhouse garden on the roof dedicated to public and cultural events. The building has been designed to maximize energy efficiency thanks to a double cavity along the exterior walls that dampens the summer heat and insulates the winter cold. There are also solar panels to generate electricity. Along the outer perimeter of the building, there are conservatories on the terraces and on the roof terrace, which help to control the internal temperature of the building without artificial ventilation systems.
IBM Studios
A formerly UniCredit building designed by world-famous architect Michele de Lucchi has been erected as a multipurpose building to house the bank’s general meetings, but also exhibitions and cultural events open to the Milan public.
It occupies a privileged position against the background of Porta Nuova, beneath the mirror-glazed tower and in a dialogue with the Porta Nuova public gardens.
The building has no foundations, being constructed on a reinforced concrete podium above the parking facility. Its soft profile is inspired by the shape of a seed, and its materials are natural.
