New York, New York - August 22, 2025: Two women talking on a park bench at Blue Hour along the Hudson River.
Exquisite vases on the wall parapets, aerial arches with baroque reliefs and countless statues of ancient Greek gods that adorn the courtyard territory consisting of several descending terraces became an additional decoration of the palace. The sculptures were an exact replica of the ancient sculptures of the Berlin Museum, with the only difference being that ours were gypsum, imitating marble. The park designer introduced his “zest” into the design of the territory. The trick was that the “female” figures were located from the southern part of the palace, where the bedchamber of Maria Feodorovna was located. Statues of male gods "dispersed" from the north side of the palace, respectively, from the side of the emperor's chambers.
Unfortunately, out of almost 30 figures, only six have survived to our times. Surprisingly, they are all paired: two satyrs, two chimeras and two sphinxes. The rest were irretrievably lost, dashing times of wars and revolutions did not spare them.
Вся придворцовая часть парка, занимающая около 1,5 десятин, была украшена скульптурами. Они были установлены вокруг дворца, на подпорных стенах, в нише второго этажа и на открытом в то время балконе. Всего было установлено 29 скульптур и 6 декоративных ваз. Согласно архивным документам, скульптуры изготовлялись из искусственного камня и отливались из гипса. Статуи из искусственного камня (их было 12) были выписаны через петербургскую фирму "Кос и Дюр" из Метлаха и обошлись в среднем по 250-300 рублей. Гипсовые скульптуры также были отлиты за границей и представляли собой копии статуй из Императорского Берлинского музея изящных искусств. Некоторые гипсовые скульптуры были окрашены масляными красками под цвет мрамора. Статуи изображали античных богов, философов, аллегории различных искусств и наук.
К сожалению, большая часть скульптур, украшавших дворец, не сохранилась. Некоторые из них были сделаны из недолговечного материала и уже к 1909 году были сильно повреждены, что вызвало необходимость снять их.
Некоторые из скульптур были утрачены уже в советское время.
Уцелело лишь 6 скульптур: два сатира, два дракона (иногда их называют химерами), два сфинкса. Последние, очевидно, были сделаны здесь, на месте, по моделям, привезенным из Петербурга и выполненным скульптором А.Г. Бауманом, работавшим над оформлением Массандровского дворца.

The Ascension Monastery was founded in 1690 by the bishop of Tambov and Kozlovski, St. Pitirim, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful mansions in the diocese of Tambov. The monastery is located on the northern outskirts of the city at the mouth of Alexander Hawrushka Studentsov and the rivers, and his first abbess was the sister of Bishop Pitirim, Catherine. The fate of the rich monastery was burning, and was then rebuilt, where it maintained its fertile icon within its walls, and was closed for a long period during Soviet power, which revived in the 20th century. But everything began peacefully and as in many other Russian monasteries, the poor were gradually expanded and rebuilt for several centuries. Initially, in its territory 18 cells of the nuns have been built, this was a simple hut of wood, there was not even church or clergy. The monastery received full-time status on the reform of Catherine II in 1764, since the sum of the contents did not reach 375 rubles. The first stone church of the Ascension of the Lord was established a hundred years later, those of the monastery in 1791. In 1816 was laid the first stone of the second church of the monastery. It was truly glorious days when they arrived at the monastery in the first half of the 19th century, where the nun Miropiya (Adenkova in the world) settled. It is from its name that it is associated with the exaltation of the miraculous Vyshenskii (Kazan) of the icon of the Virgin.

Монастырь расположился на северной окраине города в устье рек Студенца и Гаврюшки (сейчас — пересечение улиц имени Бориса Васильева и Московской). Первой игуменьей обители стала родная сестра владыки Питирима — Екатерина. Акты и грамоты об основании обители сгорели во время пожара 1724 года. Возродился монастырь только к 1744 году, тогда же была возведена монастырская стена. Как и во многих русских обителях, становление Вознесенского монастыря проходило в бедности, расширялся и отстраивался он постепенно, на протяжении нескольких веков. Сначала на его территории появились 18 келий для насельниц — простые деревянные избы, не было поначалу ни собственного храма, ни причта. Во время реформы Екатерины II в 1764 году монастырь получил статус штатного, третьеклассного, с суммой содержания в 375 рублей. Первая каменная церковь обители во имя Вознесения Господня была заложена в 1791 году в южной части монастыря.
Dating from around 1631 and finished in 1687, Basilica Santa Maria della Salute is found in the Dorsoduro area of Venice. The church was designed in the Baroque style fashionable at the time by Baldassare Longhena.
New York City - June 28, 2024: View of people and their shadows walking on the ground floor of the Oculus. The World Trade Center Oculus and Transportation Hub is located in downtown Manhattan. The Oculus was designed by Santiago Calatrava. The structure's white metal-clad steel ribs reach up and out in a monumental move symbolic of a hand releasing a dove.
when i was young i saw this building everyday because it's near my school , me and my friends hope in the future we must be visit that building and we think batman or superman at the up floor maybe we meet him !! HAHA
The house of Baron Fredericks (the official name until 1917 - "ministerial house with apartments for ladies") was erected in 1901–1902. Petersburg architect Alfred Avgustovich Biber. The three-storey building is designed in the so-called Baltic Art Nouveau style. On the western and south-western facades, metal decorations have been preserved - lattices, brackets, elements of awnings. There were several apartments inside, the largest of which belonged to Vladimir Borisovich Fredericks

Burano is an island in the Venetian Lagoon, northern Italy, like Venice itself, it could more correctly be called an archipelago of four islands linked by bridges. It is situated near Torcello at the northern end of the Lagoon, and is known for its small, brightly painted houses, popular with artists. The colours of the houses follow a specific system originating from the golden age of its development, if someone wishes to paint their home, one must send a request to the government, who will respond by making notice of the certain colours permitted for that lot.

New York City - January 10, 2023: The Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center Skating Rink, Midtown Manhattan. The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is a large Christmas tree placed annually in Rockefeller Center, in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The tree is put in place in mid November and lit in a public ceremony on the Wednesday evening following Thanksgiving.
The Church of St. Vladimir was built on the site of a medieval cruciform church in the mid-19th century. The church is devoted to Kyivan Prince Vladimir, who, according to the Rus Chronicle, was baptized in Chersonesos. Academician F. I. Chagin and architect D. I. Grimm, architects of the church, designed this two-story building with one chapel on each floor. The chapel of the Nativity of the Mother of God of Korsun' is located on the ground floor; St. Vladimir chapel is on the first floor.
The remains of the cruciform church where the prince of Rus' was initially supposed to have been baptized are preserved on the ground floor of the modern church.
Свято-Владимирский кафедральный собор в Херсонесе - православная святыня, которая увековечила принятие христианства князем Владимиром. Храм-памятник поражает своим величием, красотой и пропорциональностью линий. Свято-Владимирский собор был заложен в 1861 году. На церемонии присутствовала царская семья. Первый камень в основание собора заложил император Александр II. Он же утвердил проект будущего храма на территории Херсонесского монастыря. Автором проекта выступил академик архитектуры Давид Гримм. Интересно, что Свято-Владимирский собор в Херсонесе стал первым выдающимся сооружением, которое спроектировал этот архитектор.
