February 14, 2021 - "The Peninsula in Downtown Columbus. Something that started as a dream. Grew into an idea. And is soon to become Columbus, Ohio’s next great neighborhood.
Already on its way to becoming a lush, urban oasis, The Peninsula will have something for everyone: miles of waterfront views and pathways, acres and acres of parks and community greenspaces, conveniently connected bike trails, easy access to Scioto River canoeing and kayaking, and close proximity to Downtown’s most popular places, happenings, and events. Phase One is also bringing thoroughly modern office spaces, a premier hotel, resort-style residential living, and exceptional shopping and dining experiences.
The Peninsula is more than a place. It’s a walkable, bikeable community. It’s a unique live-work-play lifestyle centered around culture, rooted in common interests, and infused with creativity. It’s a neighborhood that brings together the best of all worlds – just around the bend of the Scioto River. "

I shot this over eleven mornings ago. I wanted to wait until after Christmas to post it. I'm not sure what is under construction, but they've been at it for some time now. The American flag is always suspended from the crane. This particular morning there was a fairly good gust that kept the flag flying. The clouds looked just right for a photo, so I stopped to take out my camera and get a shot. And when I did a police helicopter decided to add to the effect and make an appearance. This was taken around 7:18 in the morning, just as I was making my way towards the Starbuck's at Grand Park.
