Only a small part of the Roman aqueduct bridge "Los Milagros", in Mérida, Spain.

The aqueduct supplied water to the Roman colony of Emerita Augusta, today Merida, one of the most import cities of the Roman empire.

A long part of the aqueduct still stands, consisting of 38 arched pillars standing 25 metres (82 ft) high along a course of some 830 metres (2,720 ft). It is constructed from opus mixtum - granite ashlar blocks interspersed with red brick - utilising a double arcade arrangement.

It is thought to have been constructed during the 1st century AD, with a second phase of building (or renovations) around 300 AD.

I've been wanting to photograph this bridge for a while, but i couldn't find the angle to go from. Had to climb down a steep hilll, but I think it was worth it.

The Old Opera in Frankfurt was largely destoyed by bombs in 1944 and only rebuilt in the 1970s. It is now one of the landmarks of the city and a tourist attraction. I liked the advertising column too, you don't see them very often here anymore, and this one even had the perfect colour to match with the blue sky.
