I've decided to move to mesh for modelling from now on. Because when you're that one lumpy system guy amongst the sleek... yeah. It's not a good look, and I've always prided myself with being the best I can be at this game. Let me call it levelling up to myself in desperate assurance and be done with it, okay?

I'm casting to join .PENUMBRA. which I have wanted to do for a long time. They asked for a headshot as part of the application package so I snapped then messed around with this for a bit. YES I ACTUALLY PROCESSED A PICTURE DON'T DIE OF SHOCK. I was happy with the bling bling action that I got even on my teeth - my fangs are retracted when I model because I'm totally a professional, like don't even ask - so I decided to post it.

The back story to this image is sort of amusing I guess. After weeks of preparation, finding a vintage uniform to fit the officer (Men were tinier back then) working with the TTC to get a permit and then them having to bring a retired operator out for the afternoon to drive it out of the shed, I'm presuming hours of polishing the streetcar, and me mucking about to get insurance certificates etc, we arrived a little early for the shoot, pulling up in the trailer with threatening clouds looming overhead, jumped out and just started shooting as fast as we could. Sure enough, after only ten minutes the skies opened and a torrential downpour just soaked us all to the skin. Kept shooting for about another minute but started to worry about water damage to the equipment, not to mention the vintage woolen uniform, and we hightailed it out of there.

California here I come then lol..:) Yup I'm 6 hours away from being 30,000 feet up in the big blue sky...and in 20 hours I'll be in my spiritual home for a glorious 14 days!! and the weather forecast says 14 days of almost unbroken sunshine..Woot, Woot, Woot..:)

A few years ago my sister-in-law gave me a book for Christmas, "1,000 Places to See Before You Die". I was intrigued by one of the trips, traveling the ring road in Iceland. It took a few years but last summer I got my chance to visit Iceland for three weeks. The flight there passed over the southern tip of Greenland and this is what I saw out my window. Greenland is mostly ice and Iceland is mostly green - we don't know who got the names backwards. But since it is forecast to be below freezing here the next three days it seemed to be a good time to start bringing back the summer during my winter hibernation season, even if this first shot looks more like winter than June when it was taken.

my granny it's ok and i'm so happy for her!!! u can't believe how much i love her! but the school....biology is killin' me!!!! oh my gosh i can't understand anything when the teacher speaks! maybe it's just because i'm sleeping but that's not the point! she's boring!!! she should come with me and my friends saturday to have a bit of fun:D

i'm having one of those weeks where I keep waking up and feeling dreadful, I'm sure if I was on this beach i'd feel lots better.
I'm sure I'm meant to live somewhere hot! but for the moment brightons pebble beach will just have to do...

The harvest has now virtually been completed in Northamptonshire, with seemingly just a few fields yet to see the combine harvester. This was taken just outside the village of Easton Maudit, which is a few miles due south of Wellingborough.
Scherben bringen Glück, so erzählt man ja. Nur, wer soll das glauben? Als kleiner Bub musste ich schon feststellen, dass wenn ich ein Glas hab fallen lassen, die unmittelbare Reaktion eher negativ behaftet war. Ein Hauptgewinn sieht auf jeden Fall anders aus.
Vielmehr glaube ich da an eine langfristig geplante Verschwörung der Handwerkskammer! Für den Beruf des Glasers interessieren sich immer weniger der Jugendlichen. Warum auch? Irgendwas im Büro, mit Computer ist doch cool! Wenn man dann doch etwas mit Menschen machen will geht ja auch KFZti oder Drogendealer! Da kann man immer gut Geld machen und das am Fiskus dran vorbei!
Auf jeden Fall ist es mal so. Desto mehr Leute glauben, dass Scherben Glück bringen, desto mehr Leute machen Glas kaputt. Umso mehr Reparaturarbeiten für Glaser. Die steigende Nachfrage treibt den Preis nach oben, was wiederum die Möglichkeit eröffnet, mehr Gehalt zu zahlen. Somit werden die traditionellen Handwerksbetriebe auch wieder interessanter für die Jugend und die Kammer hat mehr Mitglieder.
Doof sind die ja nicht! Unsere Meister ...
