Playing around with textures on one from the archives. This was shot at the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine, Florida. Disttressed Jewell and Flypaper textures. I love to watch the nest building. She doesn't look too happy with this stick!

A kingfisher flew over my head so close, I could hear its wings...erm, what is that noise birds wings make? A sort of 'thrrrrrr'.

These swallows live in my bird house. They are a joy to watch as they gather food for their babies. After numerous shots with my big lens one evening, I finally captured a couple with a decent amount of clarity. I am still trying to figure out this lens, plus these little birds are SO quick. If you zoom in you can see one leg of a crane fly sticking out of her beak....delicious! As the parents land on the ledge of the bird house I can hear, from my porch, the noisy babies inside chirping for dinner. Like I said.....a joy!

These osprey eyases are growing in size and hunger. One of the eyases seems to be expressing need when seeing its father landing with a fish in its talons.
Robins have built a nest in a cedar tree right by my front door, so we try to use the back door so we don't disturb them.
Bringing down the white balance about 1000 degrees from daylight makes this evening view of mix of lighting (sunset, blue hour, and city lights on the clouds, quite magical I think.
My Brother-in-law likes to take pictures of birds. I'm more of an Urban/Travel type guy. Taken on the banks of Lake Michigan, Door County, Wisconsin, USA. Thanks for looking!

Bringing back memories of sunny days, this Yellow Warbler brightens up any locale.
Wawanosh Wetlands
So many beautifully colored waters in the BC/Alberta national parks, like Lake Louise, Lake Moraine, Maligne Lake etc. Emerald Lake has a similar color to Lake Louise, only richer due to more powdered limestone in it's glacial runoff.
Nature rules, and unfortunately much of my recent trip north had much cloudiness and rain. I spent a day here waiting for a break in the clouds to allow the sun to bring forth this amazing color. This was one of the few opportunities I had. In full sun the turquoise color is extraordinary. Next time!

Grebe time! Every year grebes nestle in my sister's garden pool. Here they are building their nest and i was happy to observe them for an hour or so. Lovely birds, can't wait for the chicks!

Smokefest is a passion project set to bring music lovers from all across the grid to one venue for 4 amazing nights. Every Saturday in January is a new mix of singers and DJs are set to perform on a very unique stage that provides a one of a kind show featuring dancers and a synced light show.
The sim itself is a destination all its own. The festival is surrounded by the beauty of red rocks and custom festival artwork scattered throughtout the land. Patrons will have the opportunity to run around and take fun photos at their leisure. Be sure to tag us at #SMOKEFEST2023.
