Veteran CN SD70I number 5615 slowly rounds the corner past the Partap Forest Products sawmill in the Bridgeview area of Surrey, BC. The thirty year old EMD leads a more modern SD70M-2 cousin with a transfer from CN's Thornton Yard to their Lynn Creek Yard in North Vancouver.
Gyproc is so named for the Georgia-Pacific gypsum wallboard plant which operated for decades at the location where I am standing. The plant was idled almost fifteen years ago, before demolition in 2021. The location now only marks the diverging switch for the Brownsville spur to the Fraser Surrey Docks complex, and the last control point on the Yale Subdivision before its end at the Fraser River Junction.
Patched SP 6379 and BNSF 6802 rest at 71st St in Bridgeview, IL, waiting on flood warnings around Joliet to expire.
This bridgeview was taken on a sunny day before yet another snowstorm and more frigid weather hit the area. We have rapidly transitioned fro fall to an earlier than usual winter I'm afraid.
the steel local trundles across the Rockville Bridge over the Susquehanna River just before dark on June 9, 2021.
On a gorgeous morning at the Bridgeview Bed & Breakfast, an eastbound manifest rolls into Enola yard with 2 EMDs on the head end. In charge of the train is an SD40E, likely formerly in pusher service on the horseshoe curve. I enjoyed listening to this train as much as I enjoyed shooting it, and it's always cool seeing these old war horses.
The view from the bridge in Highgate, lies on the boundary between the north London boroughs of Haringey and Islington
My favorite grain train, over the years, was Soo Line's #396. It always had the blue and silver rib side ADM cars and went to the Conrail in Chicago. Here is one with a pair of EMD's, in notch 8 after receiving a signal at 71st on the IHB.
A classic sailboat heels with the wind in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island, cutting through the waves with grace and power. In the distance, the iconic Claiborne Pell Newport Bridge stretches across the horizon under a brilliant blue sky. A timeless scene of maritime beauty and summer adventure.

Roughly 1,400 brand new autos and trucks, along with some mixed freight hangs out on BNSF trains HIHBGAL1 (Priority manifest, Blue Island, IL, IHBRR to Galesburg, IL) and VBLUSPM1 (Vehicle manifest, Blue Island, IL, IHBRR to Springfield, MO) at CP-258 in Bridgeview, Illinois on the IHB Franklin Park Sub. Having been delivered by Harbor crews, both trains await their home road crews to take them away from here, turning on the connection at McCook Jct., and then onto the former AT&SF Trascon main.

The Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad (aka "The Harbor)'s job 910 shoves his train back into Argo Yard in suburban Summit, Illinois on IHB's Franklin Park Subdivision. The head end is still in neighboring Bridgeview at CP-258. The Harbor's main here is actually owned and maintained by CSX, but dispatched and operated by the Harbor. The two connections that swing off to the right lead to both the Belt Railway of Chicago's Clearing Yard and CSX's Bedford Park Intermodal Yard.
