Monday's procession across the Clifton Suspension Bridge allowed me to do something I want to do every single time I walk, cycle or drive across it- stand in the middle and take a picture! The procession was over in minutes but the bridge stayed shut to traffic for over an hour so a large number of us took the opportunity to explore it on foot. It was hard to get a shot without others marvelling at it too and there were a lot of high-vis jackets around, but this is my best attempt.
Taken along the Oregon Coast. Fine bridges that are along Route that spans the coastline from Washington to California.
Connel Bridge over the Loch Etive at Connel near Oban. The sun was was highlighting the bridge perfectly, but behind me the dark skies were moving in so fast. The wind started blowing hard, the water became really choppy and the rain came. I managed to get a couple of shots of just before it started to pour down.

I love the look of this bridge, I'm suprised it took me this long to grab a shot of it. I already want to go back and get some different angles. It was to cold to start playing with the tripod, so I just handheld 3 shots.
US rte 76 drawbridge, Wilmington, NC
(Seen in TV show "Surface", except they said it was Sausalito, CA. because they were filming the rest in Wilm. anyway.)
"There is a harmony
In autumn, and a lustre in its sky,
Which through the summer is not heard or seen,
As if it could not be, as if it had not been!"

Forth Rail Bridge taken from Queensferry town in Edinburgh. The weather that day was really gloomy and there was hardly any direct sunlight. This is not my usual style of HDR. I over edited this but the more I look at it the more I like it.
Terrific Saturday to you. Today might be a good day to gather some stuff to donate and get it out of your place. Good luck with it!
As I was going to St Ives, I met a man with seven wives; each wife had seven sacks; each sack had seven cats; each cat had seven kittens.....
How many were going to St Ives??
Dutton Horse bridge was built between 1915 and 1919. It carries the towpath across a subsidiary channel of the Weaver Navigation. The bridge is believed to be the sole laminated greenheart timber bridge in the country.
In the background the much older Dutton Viaduct carries a Desiro 350 unit on it's way north.
Thanks to Stephen Veitch who researched the history of these fine structures.

Williamsburg Bridge and Lower East Side during Sunrise, Brooklyn, New York, USA.
After getting bored with Brooklyn Bridge Park sunrises, I wanted to explore few other waterfront locations on East River to capture sunrise. During my search, I came across this new park at Williamsburg offering great views of the Bridge. Even though there is no dramatic skyline to capture, the composition options here are limitless.
