Taken about 5-6 years ago at a pretty generic spot. Well, I say generic but I only mean that in regards to its relative ease to shoot and overall popularity among photographers that have traveled to Patagonia. The view, however, far from generic was more difficult to process than my ability at the time. I've had to shelf many photos over the years and as soon as I saw this scene I instantly knew I had the solution. Can't wait to find more!
Breaking through the remote canyon - one wonders what is around the bend (?)
This little backroad is seldom seen by tourists - but like most of Alaska, is resplendent in spectacular mountain scenery.
My wife and I took a holiday in the Great Glen last week. Mid-week the weather window was good so I took the 3hr walk into the mountains and camped ontop of the Munro Creag Meagaidh. On the walk back down the lochan below, Coire Ardair, was such a breath taking view I had to stop and capture the whole scene as a panoramic!

Sometimes is mandatory to shoot the sunrise with a telelens. This is one of such times. Shot in #fuertexperience2017 with the @shutterguild
Thought it was about time for a black and white, taken recently at a very misty Clun Castle in Shropshire

The fog had rolled in, blanketing the beach. The waves reached up the beach and rolled out, making the stones rattle softly on one another as it went. All other sound was muffled and indistinct. Time seemed to stop. Slowly, the fog began to clear and the afternoon sun broke through the fog and the trees.
Summer flower season gives way to fungi season. This was rather a surprising find high on the sea cliffs of Devon though...
It was cloudy and getting dark quickly, but then the setting sun momentarily broke through to illuminate the mountain.
Looks like the Power Miners have drilled too far...
My Batman collection consists of one batarang that I misplaced on Saturday. So naturally the Batcave was a totally logical choice... XD
Power Miners on the other hand--I've only ever had one Power Miners set, and one of the smallest at that, but I loved the theme and the Thunder Driller was my favorite of the sets and it was so much fun recreating it!
And whew, that brings my vignweek to a close. Six builds, each built, photographed, and uploaded in less than 24 hours (I didn't build yesterday). After a rough second and third day, I was able to push myself for three of IMHO my best vignettes ever for these last three days. Definitely a little disappointed with my placements so far, but it is my first vignweek anyways and it's been a fun one!
I'll be going into more detail on the week for my blog including some behind the scenes pics and alternate shots soon, link to come!
