Despite what the BBC online weather forecast has said, that we were to be basking in glorious sunshine for the last two days to accompany the freezing temperatures, that has proved not to be the case. It's been cloudy and even foggy until this afternoon when the sun finally made an appearance.
The sun rising from Yavapai Point at the Grand Canyon. The sun peaking over the cliffs lasted for a few minutes before the snow storm set in. Yavapai point is a great location for sunrise providing many different vantage points.
After driving round most of Suffolk and Norfolk over the last week or two, I finally found a poppy field just outside Norwich, tucked between a dual carriageway and a sliproad of all places. After an hour of being drenched and demoralised I was finally rewarded with a 5 minute break in the clouds this morning.

I popped out last night in the hope that the day's convective cloud would not burn off too quickly. Luckily I found a new composition looking towards Haytor I liked just as the light started to break through giving some very dramatic conditions.
The sun broke through as a storm was brewing. Just briefly - but enough to catch the top of the rocks.

Last Saturday a reoccurance of my back injury came back again and could hardly walk. Today was the first day I could actually go out and walk a little. So, I took my stick and headed here, a short walk from the car and just took this, nothing special except to me!
Last month, a strong storm system moved through the Sierra and Yosemite National Park. I was there to ride out the storm in our camper. After a few days of intense rain — 12 inches in 24 hours — the storm cleared and Bridalveil Fall peeked through, revealing robust flow.
