It's early on Saturday morning ...coming out of the darkness, the Winter Sun is starting to rise .. i'm just finishing up my morning 'journey', and heading back to my car .. I'm walking up Market Lane, towards Bourke St, in the CBD of Melbourne .. as i decided to grab this quick selfie, on the fly ...
... So, here i am ... dressed down for one of my early morning City walks .. wearing my finger-less mitts and my 'standard' black beanie .. trying to look as distant from a photographer as i possibly can .. although the tripod is a give-away .. this is 'the look' that has helped on my travels through the City after dark ..
.... The 'selfie' is done .. it's time to head down to DeGraves St for my morning coffee ... and a sugar-hit Apple Danish, for my ...... breakfast on the run :)
Never skip breakfast.
BA Cityflyer breakfast on board their Embrarer 190 between Dublin & London City Airport, like the airport, it was small, but its the thought that counts & the convenience of London City Airport makes it the ultimate doorstep ride into the city centre.
BA are one of the few airlines still offering free snacks as above, this was breakfast time, so a granola biscuit, orange juice & tea/ coffee on the short flight in euro traveller ( economy ).
BA Cityflyer is now the only carrier on the DUB-LCY route now that Cityjet ( Aer Lingus ) service was discontinued at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abused & Abandoned Jungle Dogs.

Like so many countries around the world we too
are closed down in many areas. So here I am
sheltering in place to avoid the corona virus.
No# 1 wife stays in contact with the nuns
out at the temple. All the animals are OK.
When the all clear is given, then, and
only then, will I be on the move again.
There's still plenty of photos stored
in the hard-drive so they'll keep
coming. Hope all you are safe
and staying in place for now.

As I sip my tea at my desk this morning my mind occasionally wanders to sipping my tea in oh, a place something like this...
The pure satisfaction of taking it all in, of standing there and being blasted by the first possible rays of sun that the day provides. Among the mountains you are. Your lungs rejoycing at the clean and crisp air every breath provides. Your eyes catch glimpses of the endless mountain ranges on the horizon and the fresh snow crunches beneath your feet. You think to yourself - today is a good good day. Then you stop and give glory to God who created it all. Amazing!

Back Story .........................................
Y'all know yesterday was cancelled due to
the monsoon storms.Thunder, lightning, rain,
wind and all around bad weather for 24 hours.
Horizontal rain with what sounded like non stop
in coming 155mm artillery rounds followed up by
a B-52 carpet bombing. In other words, real loud !
Windows, doors, roof and walls were shaking as if
we were the epicenter for a 9.9 earthquake ........ ;-0
This morning I waited till first light which
arrives at 6AM .
2 wheeled scooter was packed with supplies
for all the temple dogs, nuns and monks.
Rain poncho was put in place cuz a drizzle was
coming down when I left.
10 minutes into this adventure the rain picked up.
At 20 minutes the sky opened up into monsoon
conditions. Can't turn back now, it's game on.
The Dog Palace was skipped, Mamas not there
so no need to do the same same at the bingo
room. BTP is taken care of by Mr Leg Man anyway
and I didn't want to carry the 10 kilo bag of dog kibble
on my back through the jungle in this down pour.
Went straight to the nuns place. Came flying in, jumped
off the scooter, grabbed the kibble bag and raced up onto
the semi-dry porch. Poncho was shed just in time to feel a
bunch of wet dog tongues start in on my water soaked soul.
Once the rain let up, notice I didn't say stopped, I took off for
the spirit house with Rocky and Legs.
There we did the same same, but it was obvious both dogs
were looking for Mama.Without her presence the magic isn't
as exciting as when she's part of the show.Maybe next week.
The Hooligans received their quota of attention as the rain
started to come down harder. Only one thing to do now and
that is, "hit the road again."
With poncho in place I did exactly that. Already soaked but
I needed to get home, shower and get into dry clothes........
Upon my arrival Mama took her time to slowly sniff every
nook and crevice of my body.She knew where I'd been.

Many people liked my photo of this boy when he was asleep. He has woken up by now and had his breakfast (...you can spot remnants of it at the wrinkles of his mouth). Next step now will be tooth brushing. Even young princes need to do that, and this one for some reason loves it

Breakfast in Europe, the Stena Europe.
When travelling the high seas, you need a full breakfast, the full English, or was it a full Irish, hard to tell enroute from Rosslare to Fishguard, one final trip on the old Stena Europe, superb meal, this day last year.
A toast to Europe, with plenty of butter.
