Fellow Flickrite and friend JD Fielding can attest to how bold this Heron was. JD was in town yesterday so we took my boat out on the Hudson. After we successfully forced a flock of Geese to take flight we came across this guy. It would not budge even after getting within 100 feet of it.
We had a nice afternoon
Sabari express bound to Trivandrum crosses Ettimadai station and enters the Ghat section on a Rainy morning!!
This young sow was very efficient at catching salmon and I call her Brave Girl because she was downriver from camp quite a ways, where the big boars hang out and fish.
She had her own little spot where she'd be every day most all day.
I just got back from Alaska last night so I'll catch up with you all soon.
The brave pilots of Atlantic Airways from the Faroe islands are brave guys that face the elements on a daily basis during their job... This scene unfolded in seconds and i was very happy to capture this image- it looks a little bit like grabbed from a Hollywood action movie, do you agree?
It was minus 11.7 Celsius Centigrade (10.9 F) temperature,
-18 C (0 F) windchill outside when this was taken two years ago. At sunset, frozen Lake Michigan is very beautiful but dangerous yet this family was seen frolicking on the ice. Must be of hardy stock.

Submission no. 51 to 52 sunsets.

I was taking pictures in a park when suddenly I realized that a squirrel was hanging around my feet. I stood quiet for a sec and then took some pictures of her, she looked like she was posing for me!
This brave guard of St. James Palace in London looks as a young boy. Even uniform is too big for him... Anyway he was passed fit for military sevice... So... he's here and this place is totally secured now...
Another Scene taken from the News in Montreal, Que. in which the Pipers play the sad lament of Scotland the Brave, due to the terrible outbreak here and everywhere of the Corona Virus. Quebec has the highest number of the virus and the very highest death toll in Canada, Most are in Care Homes, my brother having died in a Care Home also. It is all very sad and terribly scary.
A painted not processed photo, well a little processed but mostly painted. Not really sure about the difference between the two anyway. :-)
The house finch has his mouth full and his feathers ruffed as he hunkers down during our last snowstorm.

Bird Island, Seychelles
These are the most timid of birds and it's very difficult to get close to them. However, I was sitting on the chalet's verandah one day and this one came strolling by really close. I couldn't believe my luck and grabbed my camera. It's a shame the grass was so long because it was sort of wading through it and I couldn't get a clear shot where the feet were exposed.
instead of having a christmas party for our department, we celebrated the holidays with these kids at Philippine Children's Medical Center...it was worth the time and effort!
The KCS Local heads back to the NS mainline after interchanging cars with the IMRR at Shops Yard.
With the CP-KCS merger set to take effect on April 14th, this will be one of my last shots of the Kansas City Southern still operating as an independent company. I wish the merger would bring some new developments to the Springfield line, but the merger application indicates that CPKC will continue the status quo of not much of anything.

No, not me! The frock, although there’s a sense of irony in ‘brave soul’ for a lot of us. It is a brave thing to be yourself! Here’s to the brave girls.
She was brave 31 years ago today, when she dared marry a 20 year old childish boy. She is brave every day still, keeping up with the same 51 year old childish man.
Three decades and three children after that snowy day in 1989 we still have fun together. Not all the time, and living with me is sometimes a struggle (about 18 hours a day, I am rather nice when I sleep) as the work of making me a serious grown man still isn't finnished.
We married men often forget to appreciate how lucky we are. Think about it, would you be married to you? I thought not! I certainly wouldn't be married to me! So we ought to thank the Good Lord every day for being so blessed to have a good wife with us.
But boys, I hate to tell you this: your wife isn't the best wife in the world. She is mine!
