Everybody loves free lunch, only if you trust the source.

Whitetail fawn with concerned mom and sibling in the background.

cuteness overflow: this little guy and his two siblings live in the (abandonded) neighbour house of our airBnB. He's been sneaking over to our garden; first only the head, later the full shy boy even we were sitting there BBQuing

This lovely lady and myself appeared to be to only ones braving the frigid temps today!! -24Âş with a wind chill of -36Âş Brrrr

These two brave leaves have joined together to battle the final assault of the approaching winter. Attempting to drink in one more ray of the life sustaining sunshine - but alas, it will be too little - too late. They will shortly be joining their comarades in their decay to replenish the soil for next spring. Thanks for hanging in there long enough for me to capture your image....

At times, bravery can be a solitary endeavor, but one must persist in being courageous.

Surrounded by family as she walks up the steps to the church. It was raining 13 years ago just as it is today. Now she has several children but looks just as beautiful!

INCONDITIONAL ..

Well we had a week at the seaside in July but the weather was not so great except for the first two days....

One day there will come a time when I will look back and smile proudly, "because I was able to get through a difficult time in my process"

When a Great Tit comes up close and personal to see what food I have. Feeding my birds on New Years Eve, they have become braver and braver and very bold. I did surround my camera with bird seed and sat and waited very patiently ~ Debbie KissThePixel2020

Sunset at Holland State Park on Lake Michigan. This walkway should be snow covered and icy. Wind warnings were in full effect. Hope these people didn't speak or smile because you will get sand in your teeth in these conditions :)

A very precious memory of Bella, taken almost 2 years ago on the day she came to live with me. It’s one of my first photos of her. She was still close to her travel basket, looking around cautiously & trying to be brave. Looking at this photo reminds me how young & vulnerable she seemed then.

Happy Caturday

Caught in a sudden heavy rain while walking leisurely along a village street, two little boys - instead of seeking cover in a nearby shade - run as fast as they can most probably towards their home(s).

Les Braves

Sculpteur: Anilore Banon

"Les Braves" consists of three elements:

The Wings of Hope

So that the spirit that carried these men on June 6th 1944 continues to inspire us, reminding us that together it's always possible to change the future

Rise, Freedom!

So that the example of those who rose against barbarity, helps us remain strong against all forms of inhumanity.

The Wings of Fraternity

So that this surge of brotherhood always reminds us of our responsibility towards others as well as ourselves. On June 6th, 1944 these men were more than soldiers, they were our brothers.
