We watched men's bantamweight and featherweight.
This was the first time I saw some American spirit...although, it was pretty muted compared to the Thais and the Mongolians...and of course the Chinese.
The guy sitting next to me was Irish living in Boston. He was supporting the Irish bantamweight fighter John Joseph Nevin who lost to a Mongolian boxer who went onto win the gold medal.
Class of 2015 Cadet Victoria Rao, from Livermore, Calif., faced off against an opponent from the University of San Francisco at the 2013 West Point Women's Boxing Invitational Feb. 9 in the North End Boxing Room.
