Hero shot of the box of Rodinal that I'm going to use someday.
Shot on TriX rated at 320 in Pentax LX with smc P-K 50mm F1.2 lens. Processed in Xtol 1:3 at 68F for 12.5 minutes.
Edited to reduce some of the keystoning to properly emulate a Hero Shot.
I swear to god I woke up forever ago.
oh wait..I did. At six o'clock I was busy, up, getting dressed so I could get Jake and Chase to school. They're great kids, I babysit them on occasion and they're always at my house because they are best friends with my brother. It was an exhausting morning, once I got home I had to figure out what Mom left for me to do i.e cleaning the house via list. It didn't last too long, I ended up getting it done within a half hour and then got a half hour of sleep before I had to leave for therapy which ended up going decently. I had a lot to get off my chest. It felt good to be able to talk to no end.
After therapy, We ended up shoe shopping. Mom bought all the kids new shoes for summer, Tess got Dora the Explorer sandals that light up. I think it made her entire two year life. She's been stomping around all afternoon. She's such a doll.
After all this, I've ended up lounging around my house. I made some lunch for everyone, and watched Lady in the Water with Mom.
Box made from soft woods, purpose cut and stained to look old. Variety of leather pieces used to reinforce corners and again, worn a little to give a used look.

The remaining photos from this night walk in the area beside the lodge.
This was a total surprise to me. I had no idea they would even live here.
Folded aluminum battery box made from one piece of .090 aluminum, and riveted together where the tabs on the sides fold under the bottom.
We have a couple of neighbours that always make us something homemade at Christmas. Sometimes it's food like home made breads, or Italian almond cookies. Last year Sean got a beautiful hand knitted scarf, and I got a wooden birdhouse! (very thoughtful), so this year they are getting one of these boxes of cupcakes with a Christmas Tree ornament on top!
I love making stuff like this;)

Furthering my experiments with props. A cardboard box lined with silver foil and the front section cut out and diffused with paper.
I put my 580EX II and 430EX flashes inside the box with me, firing them with a Pocket Wizard plus wireless trigger. I pointed the flashes backwards because I didn't want hot spots on the paper. The camera was fired with a remote.
The shots were hard as I had difficulty seeing what I was doing. When I take the photos properly I'll use someone else as a model.
Thanks to Emil.magnusson for the direction.

"The Money Box," staged at Loyola University New Orleans in March 2013, was a musical set in New Orleans in the 1960s. The play told the story of Midas Harpagon, a notoriously stingy owner of a Bourbon Street club, and his children. In their longing to escape the control of their father and marry the lovers of their choice, the children wonder, “Will love or the love of money prevail?” This was the world-premiere of the musical by Ricky Graham, a celebrated playwright and New Orleans native. The production featured music by Loyola alumnus Jefferson Turner ’99 and lyrics by Graham and Sean Patterson. The performance was an adaptation of Moliere’s classic satire 'The Miser.'

This old box car sits at the eastern edge of Glendive, Montana. Can't you just see the hobos hitching a ride? :)
I would like to thank Pat trick 8 for inspiring this photo. He has an amazing photo of the old rail car from when he was passing through my town. :)

my first box pleated design. which every box pleater will laugh about, of course. I don't mind ; )
I've wanted to do a stick figure for quite some time now. at the freising convention gerwin told me some things about box pleating designs. I also read his tutorial about how to fold box pleated designs. thanks for this invaluable help, gerwin!
it still took me several failed attempts to finally come up with this design. fairly simple I guess, but the collaps ist still a thing of puzzlement for me.

I took Jarrah to my daughter's house for a play with her kitty Ned.
As you can see the box has been well used by Lisa's cats who all love boxes.

This is The Film Box - it contains photos that were taken from 1934 to 1948 - pre and post World War II.
They were found in a loft stored as film rolls, labelled with locations and dates, in a box.
The people in the photos are not known.
I will be adding new scans over the coming weeks as I work through the collection.
