Candy heart box for Valentine's Day. Lid brushed with luster dust and pearls added to the little flowers. Inside I put some store bought gummie hearts.
I did this as part of a novelty course. It was the first time I was able to really carve the buttercake recipe I use.

My first Cigar Box guitar - built during a session at Rochester Sweeps Festival 2013 run by Malcolm of www.astickinabox.com .
I have done a bit of 'dressing and distressing' to it since the session. (Sink Drainer as a sound hole cover)
Sounds great through a bit of fuzz. (Fuzz pedal from 'Hubcap John' off Ebay)
Shame I will not be able to play it again for a while as it's paint job is just too necessary.
City scooters have become very popular. I wish their users would take into consideration pedestrians safety and won't park just about anywhere.
On November 22, 2008 Wabash Valley Audubon Society members placed this Kestrel Box on Clay County Road 650 W in Chinook Mine. Left to right: Donna G, Denise P, Marty J, Phil C, Henry T. Also, a Norther Flicker box was placed on 750 W and a Bluebird Box at Tabertown and Swalls Road. If we look a little cold it's because it was only 15 degrees. Photographed by Stephanie T.
This box was a gift from my Grandma Jeanne to my Grandfather Daniel in December of 1924, when they'd been married a few years. It's always been on my mother's desk, and in Cairo, she had it fitted with a wrought iron frame. When we moved here to Brooklyn, she gave it to us and now it's got all our wedding memories in it.
It is, needless to say, very precious to me. I never met my grandfather but I remember Grandma Jeanne well - and the spidery, neat handwriting dedicating the box on the inside reminds me of her.
