Journalling reads: I wish I could explain why whenever I have a parcel delivered, both you and Lukas are both always anxiously awaiting me opening it. Not because you are even interested in the contents, but because you can’t wait to fight with each other over who gets to play in the box. Even at Christmas time you are always more interested in the packaging than the present inside. The part that I find strange is that when Lukas was little he was always using his imagination to make the box into something else, rocket ships, cars, buses and play houses were usually popular choices for him, but you well you just prefer to sit inside them. You park them in front of the television and just sit down and watch tv, Climbing in and out to retrieve various toys and stuff until the box breaks. Strange boy!
I was photographing the Yellow Box (eucalyptus) flowers and I noticed this green fly sucking the nectar.
Danboard came with us to watch the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series Yacht racing today. He seemed a bit perplexed by the whole event. Elizabeth Taylor says you can only expect a box to understand so much, I think she might be right!

A beautiful female Eastern Box Turtle crosses a busy rural road in New Jersey. The Garden State is the most densely populated state in the country and in turn many of its roads carry unusually high traffic volume. This coupled with fragmented habitat makes Eastern Box Turtles exceptionally vulnerable to road mortality. The Eastern Box Turtle is listed as a Species of Special Concern in New Jersey.
not very exciting... it's a plastic translucent lid that snaps tightly at both sides. i haven't closed this one all the way yet; as you can see it's not completely cool yet.
Only the posh got this view, or those that wanted to be on telly when 'The Good old Days' were bieng filmed here
WIKI:
The Good Old Days was a popular BBC television light entertainment programme which ran from 1953 to 1983.
It was recorded live at the Leeds City Varieties and recreated an authentic atmosphere of the Victorian–Edwardian music hall with songs and sketches of the era performed by present-day performers in the style of the original artistes.
The audience dressed in period costume and joined in the singing, especially the singing of Down at the Old Bull and Bush which closed the show. The show was compered by Leonard Sachs who introduced the acts. In the course of its run it featured about 2000 artists.
Freed at last! And she is soooo cute, I love that tiny mouth of hers and those teeth, eeep xD
Also, Luts gave her exactly the same kind of eyes I had wanted for her and already had buyed for her during the sale x) But nothing wrong with spares, I guess :P
Candy heart box for Valentine's Day. Lid brushed with luster dust and pearls added to the little flowers. Inside I put some store bought gummie hearts.
Found this silicone Jello-O brand mold at Linens and Things for $7. It's dishwasher, oven and microwave safe. (So you can bake in it)
Each year, Gallery Route One in Point Reyes invites over a hundred artists to create unique works of art using a wooden box.
Here are the inspiring artworks they created this year: they range in style from whimsical to poignant and thought-provoking. These photos were taken on closing day, when the gallery organized a live auction for each of this year’s 150 boxes. The proceeds support the gallery’s exhibits and community programs.
Two of the boxes were created by members of our art community: Howard Rheingold (a.k.a. Dr. Rindbrain) contributed an illuminated box called ‘Magical’, while Geo Monley and Meryl Rubenstein made ‘Les Puzzles.’
Members of ‘Pataphysical Studios came to cheer for their peers -- Dr. Really was the highest bidder for Dr. Rindbrain’s piece, which was thus kept in the family. After the show, we all went to Stellina to celebrate over a nice dinner.

5238 S. Harper (box office tile relief from the former movie theater at Harper Court)
2013 update -- A newly remodeled and reopened Harper Theater is now operating here. Unfortunately, this lovely deco element was either removed or buried beneath.
This ceramic box is by Italian maker Bitossi. It retains its original Rosenthal Netter import sticker with the words "Made in Italy" and the handwritten code "93/15". It was found in Manitowoc, WIsconsin.
