Drawing (and the hand crafted goodness inside the box) supplied by Phil Barbato. He'll be at the Strawberry Street Festival tomorrow with all sorts of goodness.

Out of the display case. The wheels do spin, but the doors don't open nor does the engine compartment flap.

I came home this evening and nothing felt like how it should be
I feel like writing you a letter but that is not me... you know me
Feel so fucking angry; don't wanna be reminded of you
But when I left my shit in your kitchen, I said goodbye to your bedroom it smelled of you
US drinking laws should be reconsidered – probably they should become federal law. Obama can you hear me?
Each year, Gallery Route One in Point Reyes invites over a hundred artists to create unique works of art using a wooden box.
Here are the inspiring artworks they created this year: they range in style from whimsical to poignant and thought-provoking. These photos were taken on closing day, when the gallery organized a live auction for each of this year’s 150 boxes. The proceeds support the gallery’s exhibits and community programs.
Two of the boxes were created by members of our art community: Howard Rheingold (a.k.a. Dr. Rindbrain) contributed an illuminated box called ‘Magical’, while Geo Monley and Meryl Rubenstein made ‘Les Puzzles.’
Members of ‘Pataphysical Studios came to cheer for their peers -- Dr. Really was the highest bidder for Dr. Rindbrain’s piece, which was thus kept in the family. After the show, we all went to Stellina to celebrate over a nice dinner.

The box is surprisingly flimsy -- it's just basic glossy cardstock. Her certificate of authenticity comes inside her box.
Box tree caterpillar (Cydalima perspectalis). Three separate box hedges, including my figure of eight hedge have been infected quite badly by these caterpillars.
They are a fairly rapidly spreading invasive species and can completely defoliate box plants.
You can make a hollow 3D box like this from a single image in Photoshop. The tutorial is here : photoshopper27.blogspot.com/2011/01/hollow-box.html

Monex-box in the shape of a camera.
Yes, i know, looks a bit like kitsch but hey, it definitely belongs to camera related paraphernalia.
Found on a flea-market today and with a pricetag of € 0,50 i just couldn't resist ;-)
Will look great on my attic between the real ones and will remind me of the fact to start saving for a real expensive camera !
Inside the vault. FYI, noise/grain was added for effect, since ISO 3200 at this resolution looks relatively noise-free with the 1D X.

I call this my “Oak” Glasses Box. On the top of the box is a variation of a “Rolling Star” quilt pattern. The glasses box is about 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" and 2 1/4" high on the outside. Inside it is 2 3/8" x 5 3/8" x 1 1/2". I made it using 116 pieces of wood cut in either diamond or triangle shapes from different kinds of wood. The box is finished in its natural color with 5 or 6 coats of a clear wiping varnish, rubbed in by hand. The pieces are a bit over 3/16" thick, glued onto a Baltic Birch base, so they hold up much better than a thin veneer.
The type of wood is listed on the bottom of the box from the center out. On this box the wood is “Walnut” and “Oak” from Missouri and “Brazilwood” from Brazil.
On the bottom I signed it, listed the wood, and dated it. After the date, the words “Foot Cut” let you know I made it on a foot powered table saw.
I lined the box with black velveteen.

Restored to its former glory complete with the usual selection of enamel signs. This little signal cabin if I have my facts right once stood in Gloucester Horton Road Depot Yard and went by the name of 'Mileage Yard Signal Box'. It has been brought here to the DFR and restored as a crossing box beside Norchard Low Level station.
set of 3 nesting fabric gift boxes in a lovely floral print with a striped inner box. boxes are 3", 2" and 1.2" cubes.
